I think you can add a photo without Flickr. There is an insert photo button in the text box but I'm not sure if the photo has to be on the internet somewhere or not.

To edit photos, a photo program is useful. Most digital cameras come with some kind of editing software.

My photo program came with our first scanner about 10 years ago and the scanner is no longer compatable with our newer computers. I still use that program because it still works for me.

I had a program for printing pictures that came with my first digital camera that was really good. I have it somewhere but haven't put it on this computer because I don't print very many of my pictures anymore.

Like me it is cheaper to get photos printed at a discount store than on your own printer. A lot can be kept on disc but just think in ten years time the computers will have changed and nolonger raed the discs!!!Anyway how are you doing and how is Amber going with her lessons?

I should really head into my office for a few minutes, I can't see anything blocking my way apart from a dog, a toy sheep and a teddy bear....the hazzards of working from home

How long does it take to drive home
My DH usually gets home around 7pm but would have left his office around 6:50 so no problems with traffic for him

Coffee pot is on!

We have scattered showers, nothing to break the drought, but it might green up my front grass!! Our drive through the country yesterday showed some startling effects of the drought in this area. In pastures, "catch ponds" that depend on catching and containing rain run off water are drastically down and I saw 2 completely dry!

We understand drought in Australia. We now live near the coast so get more rain than inland. I grew up on a dairy farm on the banks of a good river but Dad was digging sink holes in the river one year to get some water. Also saw a lot of floods but the house was a long way and high up from the iver.

June, lately we are not getting very cold and when it is cold, does not last long fore a warm front comes through. We do get below freezing and plants go dormant, but then weather can warm up and be mild in winter. I know last winter, would not be more than a week pass where it did not warm enough mid day to be able to sit in the sunchine, with just sweat shirt to keep you warm. We get an occasional snow, but has been 3 or 4 yesrs since our last dusting, usually an inch or so, and gone by the next day. RARELY a blizzard come s through and dumps on us, but it is a newsworthy event. Last big one was about '92 and we got 12 inches of snow and were without power for about 5 to 10 days, depending where you were.

OK, probably more than you wanted to know, but I am ratteling on and on and on today.

another shower just went through, yep, grass should green up again even if late in the grass season.

MizT that was exactly what I wanted to know. So if you get your grass green it will not brown off too much during winter. Your winter sounds just a bit cooler than ours. Days nice and we get a few light frosts but no snow near the coast. Not sure if we will go out for lunch or dinner today to celebrate 44 years.

June, we will most likely get a killing frost sometime this winter. It once was November when we expected such a frost, occasionally October, but some years later. I have seen grass stay green till Feburary, and then the frost! My grass is very sensetive to frost, it woud prefer a couple of growing zones further south where there is not frost, but all grass but espically planted winter rye , an annual grass, will turn brown over winter here in our area. Leaves fall from the trees, plants die back and without evergreens it is a grey and brown landscape for several months.

OH, I do usually have pansies growing all winter! I must buy some of those soonm too, just have not seen the colors I want. Pansies have " antifreeze" in thier leaves, stems and blooms, I have seen them still blooming in containers on my deck when the container was filled with ice covering the soil.

take a look here, second photo are the colors I am wanting. Northern United States, thhose are spring and early summer flowers, but it gets too hot to fast here.
