Thanks heaps, June for putting the pic up so quickly. You'll have to fill in a couple of names though. I can work out about half of the faces, I think.
Glad the day went well. A good turn out.

GAIL, I figure that is IAN's family across from him? And June's family member next to her? If you put those in, it seems to fit going round the table. I recognize CP from other photos so that helped.

JUNE, nice photo and thanks for putting it up. I am glad you all got to meet and that you had a good time. Nice looking bunch there, shows we are just a bunch of swell people here in sudokuland!

I have always enjoyed any meeting with cyber friends. It is like greeting old friends. We have had some really nice weekend retreats for my quilters group, picking a nice hotel with a meeting room and we had a blast! Usually had enough driving to the hotel we had transportation for sight seeing and visiting QUILT SHOPS so we could import fabric heheheh.

I'm really disappointed that no one signed up for the rugby team. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I heard them all -- if I heard anything at all. Oh well, I guess we'll have to forfeit.

Ruby, I said I would play bench warmer. I know next to nothing about rugby, especially positions and how to play. If we have a few days we might be able to figure out a play or two.

The game is played with hands and feet and an oval ball, between two teams of 15 players each, plus 7 substitutes.

The game consists of catching or picking up the ball and running with it, passing, throwing, or knocking the ball to another player for scoring points, as well as kicking the ball.

To take the ball from the other team, it is also possible to push or shoulder an opponent holding the ball.

Passes to another team member are always in the back.

The length of the game is 2 hours, 40 minutes, with a ten-minute half time.

Players are as follows:

Prop Hooker Prop

Lock Lock
(2nd Row) (2nd Row)

Flanker 8th Man Flanker
(Wing Forward) (Wing Forward)

Scrum-Half Fly-Half

Side Wing Center Center Side Wing

Fullback

Hooray, I finally found a web site where I could cut and paste:

Scoring Points

Try: This happens when a player grounds the ball (applies pressure on the ball) in the opponents in-goal area. This is worth 5 points.

Penalty Try: A Penalty Try is given when an opponent would've scored a try but the opponent commits foul play. This too is worth 5 points.

Conversion Goal: A conversion is kicked when a player's team scores a try and has the opportunity to gather 2 extra points.

Penalty: A penalty, worth 3 points, is scored when a player kicks a goal from a penalty kick. A penalty is awarded when an opponent commits a foul.

Dropped Goal: Finally, a drop goal, also worth 3 points, is scored when a player kicks a goal from a drop kick in general play.

I think the coach provides the hocolate! And, yes, it can be dark, milk, or even white hocolate. After all, a good coach thinks of ALL players on the team!
