Thought I'd have loads of pages to read, but you guys haven't been that gabby lately.
Ruby, glad you enjoyed the reunion. Hubby won't go to his and mine was too expensive this year.
MizT, I was using Norton. But, we don't think it was a virus. A box appeared and thanked me for downloading a file. After "poking" around, we came to the conclusion the owner tried their hand at writing an audio player. I checked the site again at the library and on my old laptop and the site's back up without that file. So, it looks like it's safe to go there again. I've increased my security settings to prevent anymore unwanted downloads.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes and thanks for keeping it on the SA pages. We had a nice day. Lunch at a sailing club looking over the water on the outskirts of the harbour. Then visited MIL who is house bound after a fall a couple of weeks ago. A small fracture at the top of her leg, a week in hospital, now home but for someone who was out most days of the week it is hard to be home all day. She is 93 and looks 80.
Left overs for dinner as we were not very hungry.
We are always low key about anniversarys and no one else in the family would even be aware of the day. Just a special day for us.

June didn't know it was your anniversary today but congratulation even though it is late in the day.
44 years is a long time but it is lovely to hear of someone getting that far in these days of short lived marriages.

Driving back from LI (Brendan had a soccer game there but my mom wasn't feeling well enough to go.) I took the parkway, a 4 lane highway that trucks are not permitted to use because of the low stone bridges and the two lanes in each direction are very narrow. The parkway is about 130 miles and it is lined with trees the entire way. Many sections have a center island dividing the north/south lanes with trees. At this time of year it is truly a magnificent drive. The trees were yellow, orange, brown, red, burgundy, rust and every shade of green. When there was the island in the middle, it was like driving through a rainbow tunnel because the tops of the trees from each side touched each other. When the landscape opened up, you could see hills and mountains dotted with all of the colors. There is nothing like the colors of fall!

OK, so I know I see things and don't see things in the pictures on this site. I saw an elephant in one of Albany Anne's pictures of sheep. I saw a poodle's face in that bruise on hard today (If that bruise is on a cheek, it's not a facial cheek.). Sometimes I've asked people what their avatar is. It took me a long time to see Merlin in Dino's avatar (and now she's changed it). BUT, I read the words very carefully. I even get a little put out with those who let it be known by their comments that they don't read the words with much comprehension. So today I was reading the comments on easy, and I kept coming across the SA rugby team. I know a little bit about rugby, (It's rough and you have to have leather balls.) but I just couldn't wrap my America-centered brain around MizT. in the scrum and Stella taking us all to practice. Those people on easy were all excited about it. So decide what position you want to play and sign up below. Don't waste time. Apparently we have a game soon.

Hi, Ruby - and others! In reading the comments on Easy, I think SA refers to South Africa, which will meet England for the title. (Thank goodness! I hear rugby is a very rough sport.)

Ahh Ruby, HOW FUNNY!! I shall have to ask AL if he still has his rugby rule book!! No, he did not play. He was team manager for a team once way back fore Tricia, it got him invited for the beer bash after the games! He still has his team cap somewhere, and yes it is a very rough game. He spent a lot of time wiping away blood and putting sutures in cuts, so these crazy players could get back in the game.

I couldn't begin to choose a position for our rugby team. I have no idea what the positions are. Maybe I should try out for bench warmer.

No scrums for me, I've just had my hair done!!!

Thanks friends for Beth's birthday wishes, she was just in here and read them all and asked me to pass on her thanks. Then she skipped out of the pooter room singing "Its my birthday, I'm 18" over and over again!

Gail, I just had my nails done!! so maybe I can just recite the rules from the sideline?? Now where did hubby put that rule book?? He is away for the weekend, we may have to make up our rules as we go oh Ruby's SA Rugby team!! OH, who are we playing against, Ruby?

Who is in charge of the beer after? That seemed to be an important job on the local team.

The meeting at Bronte was great and we all had out healthy fruit juices etc with either brunch or an early lunch. I do think half of Sydney decided Bronte was the place to be as the area was packed with "sun seekers" out to enjoy the beach on such a lovely day. Enjoyed meeting up with the sudokuists
