Everyone. 6 days left. I forgot the stocking stuffers so I guess I'm going to Colville tomorrow. I'd get them in town today while gumball is at the dentist but the Dollar Store is gone. I'm going to miss that place.
All for wishing gumball a Happy Birthday. I think he was really pleased with all the greetings.

We got a shower of rain, some sun, and did hit the 60's. Weather...what are you going to do? We'll probably have more weather tomorrow. I think I'll go watch TV. If I don't get back before bed, pleasant dreams, y'all.

Good morning sudokuland! the cyber coffee pot is on, come have a cuppa whatever is your pleasure.
RUBY, we have southerly winds, increasing humidity, clouds and some rain forcast again, hope it is more rain than we got from last forecast! if it is gonna be damp and cloudy, at least give us benefit of rain!
Ruby, I think you got warmer than we did yesterday! Go figure. Welll a weather check, yes, we did make 60*F yesterday, but without the sun, did not feel quite so warm. was very warm over night, around 50, a benefit of those cluds and the woutherly winds.

Just recieved a phone call, Daughter #3 arrived safely home. Said nine hours of the trip flew by, they had a book on tape ( well CD) to listen to and that made the 11 hour trip much nicer. A good idea for a long trip. I just discovered, I can check out books on tape from the library. holding a book at the moment is uncomfortable and I love to read, hope i like listening as well!

Good morning all! Busy day yesterday. Still not quite done with all of the shopping. A few presents and a few stocking stuffers left. (the boys are always hard to buy for!) Brendan came home from college last night. Hubby went to get him since his last final ended at 4pm. I don't like driving in the dark and it was a good thing because we had another snow storm last night. Just a couple of more inches. I had to drive in the dark anyway because "Max's" soccer game was later than I thought, so I also got caught in the storm. D#1 is coming home tonight. Her last final is today. Both D#1 and Brendan had a lot of time between their second to last final last week and their last final this week. Both said they'd rather have them close together. Hubby is also picking up D#1. They should be home around 6pm.
MizT, your guest house sounds great to me. We could use one of those so we could have Christmas with my family at my house sometime. We were supposed to be going to my brothers new house in Maryland for our Christmas gathering but my other brother asked to switch it to his girlfriends parents' house, which is 4 hours closer. So we'll probably just go down and back in the same day.
See ya later! Have a great day!

Dropped by for MizT virtual coffee. Now I can start my day. Humidity has cleared away and left us with a grey, cool day. I can see the birds feasting on the grevillea bush. All quiet. Holiday makers will change the whole place in a few more days. Sigh. I guess I do have to share this incredibly beautiful part of the world. Now to take Merlin for his walk.

I am wondering if any others out there feel that they are surrounded by extreme events. I have been making a mental list today after yet another 'event'. Here goes...
As a youngun and twenty-something:
- Father died of a heart attack at a motorcycle meeting
- Really bad car accident myself, three facial reconstruction surgeries
While living in Los Angeles and Orange Counties:
- Los Angeles Riots - had to leave work to get away from them
- Northridge earthquake - narrowly missed being hit by a falling chest of drawers
- Shopping at Lucky when a Brinks Security guard was shot dead at the door, I saw him afterwards and grieve for him still
Now in a quiet country area, out of town, south coast NSW:
- evacuated when bushfires came too close to our home, it will happen when part of your property is an extension of the surrounding bush
- significant damage to our home during a severe wind storm, in the previous severe windstorm it had just taken me 4 hours to get home
- double murder three doors south over unpaid agistment fees
There are probably more, but I will end with today's event.....
Our mail carrier was involved in an 'altercation' with a man living six doors north of us. The man apparently didn't like the way his mail was being delivered - local rumour mill has it that the mail carrier didn't like where the homeowner had put his 'for sale by owner' sign and had several times damaged the sign and/or thrown mail on the lawn. Today home owner decided to confront mail carrier and slammed the carriers car door on him when he tried to get out of the car (local rumour again that bit). The home owner is in hospital being treated for head injuries, allegedly made by an iron bar!!! Our postal worker went postal!!!!

OH SUZY, now that mail carrier event is getting close to your home! I think both of those individuals need some conflict resolution skills! I do not know about there, but tossing mail on the lawn would have been a firing offence, and postal worker would be looking for another job!
Yes, there are so many extreme events that happen around us. One, we hear about them all now, and two, there are just more people so there are going to be more events.
I am sure we each could contribute a list of extreme events that touch our lives, but for me, not today.

A funny for today!!
It's a romantic full moon, when Pedro said, "Hey, mamacita, let's do Weeweechu."
Oh no, not now, let's look at the moon!" said Rosita.
Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I do Weeweechu. I love you and it's the perfect time," Pedro begged.
"But I wanna just hold your hand and watch the moon." replied Rosita.
Please, Corazoncito, just once, do Weeweechu with me."
Rosita looked at Pedro and said, "OK, one time, we'll do Weeweechu."
Pedro grabbed his guitar and they both sang.....
"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas,
Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."

Good Morning
to all! Well, the computer is finally fixed and able to attach to the internet. Three sets of house guests have come and gone. Most presents have been purchased, some wrapped, and some sent. Unfortunately, no Christmas letter has been written and no cards addressed or sent. My goal was to write a personal
to those who wished me
and then to write personal
greetings. It looks like that isn't going to happen soon. So, to EVERYONE both near and far who is celebrating
or any other family holiday at this time of year, I wish good health, good cheer, peace, joy and wealth of spirit! Share your love with those around you, including those who are forgotten or taken for granted! I wish all of you much happiness in the coming year! Prayers also continue for those who have had some difficult times or lost a loved one (no matter how many legs)! Many thanks to everyone who shares or visits here! Peace! Shalom! Pax! Aloha!

Suzy, I think you definitely had a lion's share of bad events happening close to you. I hope that peace will surround you this coming year! It certainly sounds like you could use it!
MizT, I think everyone is busy with last minute preparations. I too was busy ALL day! My feet are killing me as hubby dragged me everywhere in an effort to get the rest of the shopping done. We won't know if we missed anything until we organize them all over the weekend. Cute joke by the way!
Now I'm off to bed. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
