We have stockings, but have only hung them up once. Not even sure if I could find them.

Hubby has been inundated with bottles of booze from business associates so we have plenty here to go around. Anyone for a night cap?

Ours are more the small 'sack' variety. Sometimes while I am out helping Santa buy purchasing things to fill them, I wish they were smaller!

It is. I tried it a couple of weeks ago at a restaurant my friend and I go to. I'm not crazy about hot chocolate but that I liked.

Mmm, I know what's for dessert tonight!
Well Rena, I must bid you a fond farewell. Must go sort out today's shopping and check that I have enough for everyone. I rang my son's girlfriend and told them that if they didn't decide what they want for Christmas, I was going to buy them both fishing rods! Neither of them fish. She said they would get something today!
If I don't catch you again beforehand, have a very safe and stressfree Christmas.

Good morning all! Not long now! We have a soccer tournament today and I think we have a few stocking stuffers left. We didn't do any baking, haven't had the time. The kids wanted to make some sugar cookies, but it's been so crazy. Every year I tell myself that I'll get things done earlier next year so I can just enjoy it, and it never seems to work! Well, off to pick up the van. (It had the motor for the driver's window replaced since it wouldn't go beck up sometimes. Can't leave it open in the winter!!!) Then some shopping, or rather hubby will go grocery shopping while I bring the van home, and then off to the tournament. We "plan" on getting half of the gifts wrapped tonight!
Have a great day!

good Morning Sudokuland! Or afternoon, or night as the case might be.

Coffee pot is on, and perking away, come join me for a cuppa. A mostly cloudy day today with a temp headed toward 60F (16C) and rain tonight. We can take more rain, ponds still bone dry in some areas nearby and cattle need thier ponds for water.

Yesterday hubby and I went out to lunch, but got such a late start and after a few errands, lunch was about 3 pm, I was HUNGRY! First I ate too much and second I made some poor food choices, and had a tummy problem over night, not fun! All better this morning and HOPE I learned not to do that again!

Hi Everybody. Just passing through and wanted to catch up on what you've all been up to. Have been sick for 4 days and I'm now SOoooo far behind I should be making lists, cooking, writing cards - anything but what I'm doing now! This is more fun! I'm home all alone - hubby, son and 2 dogs over at grandma's for a sleep over! I should be having a party!

Only 2 more days on site, 3 more for us over here. I hope you didn't leave everything for the last minute. When I left home, I used to help a friend of mine wrap presents. She always left it until Christmas Eve. So there we would be, wrapping presents until the wee hours of the morning, hoping we would finish in time to get some sleep before her kids woke up. Wow, I haven't thought about that for a long time. What fun it was.

I hope this site works for you! It's a natural cloud formation photographed in New Zealand and appropriate for this time of year.

You have just reminded me that our stockings are in the Xmas box that didn't make it out of the shed this year!! Can't have Xmas morning without stockings!! The dilemma I now face - do I make new ones, or search for the buried box??? As I'm supposed to be sitting on my backside, I think I might investigate my fabric stash and see if I have the 'fixings' for new ones....

SUZY, no lifting for you, so the making of new stockings is in order. Remember, do not make them too big, the big ones take Tons of stuff to fill them! I am sure you can find something in your stash what would look festive and colorful.

Huumm, you jusst gave me an idea, I could use old orphaned blocks to make patchwork Christmas stockings, but not this year! Sewing machine died, and I have not resurected it yet.

I found pieces of five different Xmas fabrics - the number of stockings I need, and some osnaberg (I think that's what it's called, it's been a while). Making stockings is definitely the go!!! And I agree that small ones is a good idea... Your idea for patchwork stockings sounds wonderful! If you make them I would love to see photos. Which reminds me, are the photos of the tote bag on your page??

SUZY, would you believe I forgot to take a photo? I was so upset when my sewing machine died just before I got finished with that tote bag, I did not think of a photo. Maybe Renee, the recepient, will be able to take and post a photo to me, I hope so.

Good Morning Sudokukland!

The cyber coffee pot is on, and the one in my Kitchen is smelling oh so good this morning.

We had rain over night and a cold front comming through. Rain seems to be gone, sun is coming up under the clouds giving a most interesting sunrise this morning. Black and white, tiny bit of yellow. Diufferent for sure, but earily beautiful.

We will go Christmas Eve to my BIL's house. He and friends will celebrate on Christmas Eve, since since that is the day all his guests could attend. OK by me, we will go and have Christms #3 on Monday. Best news, I do not have to cook. "Everything has been done" was the answer I got when I inquired what should I bring. WOW, not often I get a pass on cooking a Holiday meal, so off I go. I think I shall bake some more cookies today and take home made cookies, huumm, maybe some nibblies, I made a new fat free dip yesterday.

Hour and a half drive, should be rain free tomorrow, and cool but sunny.

SUZY, hope the rain did/will hold off for your carols in the park. Sounds like lots of fun, and know your daughter will make a delightful Frosty! Take your camera and put up photos perhaps?
