Good morning all! Dreary here today, looks like we're in for rain later on! It won't get rid of the snow, there's too much of it for that, so it will still be a white Christmas.

D#2 made a wonderful Frosty! I have photos but have to get them out of the camera first...

You would not believe who performed on stage at this Carols in the Park - Roger Woodward!! I thought it was just someone with the same name, but it was really him! Who would have believed that a man with an OBE and AC would perform in a small country town! My mother informs me that he has performed here many times over the years and she thinks he has a home here. I'm not sure I will truly believe it until I confirm it with the organiser later today. He sang rather than play piano, but looks just like the photo I just found after googling. I'll update after I confirm!!

my favourite Australian Christmas Carol

The Three Drovers

Across the plains one Christmas night
Three drovers riding blithe and gay,
Looked up and saw a starry light
More radiant than the Milky Way;
And on their hearts such wonder fell,
They sang with joy. 'Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel!'

The air was dry with summer heat,
And smoke was on the yellow moon;
But from the heavens, faint and sweet,
Came floating down a wond'rous turn;
And as they heard, they sang full well
Those drovers three. 'Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel!'

The black swans flew across the sky,
The wild dog called across the plain,
The starry lustre blazed on high,
Still echoed on the heavenly strain;
And still they sang, 'Noel! Noel!'
Those drovers three. 'Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel!'

I can't believe it. I have just lit the FIRE and there is even snow in Hobart. So much for our listless Christmas, though I'm sure the excess food will do the trick. Rolanda, cant you send some of your heat this way? Between your forecast and mine we could have a great day.

Good Maen sudoluland. Awaking to Cchristmas Eve her in the USA. A cold start to our day, currently 28F ( -2C) but warming to 56 (13), so not so bad later.

We will be off later today to visit my BIL, a hour and half drive. One more christmas dinner with family and friends and I do not have to cook this one! Will be taking home made cookies and chocolate fudge that hubby and I made yesterday, yummy.

Soon the Aussies will turn the calander page to Christmas, so wishing MERRY CHRISTMAS to all as the time/daate changes around the world!.

Hmmm pity we can't edit the smilies. My layout was disrupted by the 'More...' Then I forgot what I'd clicked. But I'm sure you get the drift. Have wonderful day and remember to send your happiness to the countless people suffering from fear or pain or hunger or thirst or lack of shelter.
