HI JULIE! Thanks for the new page!

RENA, left you a message on your page, so glad the quilt is finished, it is a lovely quilt and deserved to be brought out and seen and used. A fine piece of family history, your MIL's work and her Mom's dresses are now saved.

Have you thought about a label for the quilt? I would put in the information about MIL piecing the quilt and quilting it, and leaving it unfinished, about you binding the quilt, the dates as close as you know them, the fact that the Sue dresses were made from the dresses of MIL's Mother, names and location of everyone, all that stuff that your grandchildren would not know without the label.

Good morning all! A little warmer this morning, 5*F, but still cold. We are supposed to get up into the 40's next week!

Rena, good luck! I truly hope you make it. Shortly after my parents moved to this country, the Surgeon General came out with the warning that smoking was hazardous to your health. They both stopped right then and they had been smoking since they were 10 years old. They didn't want to expose their children to something that was so hazardous. It always amazed me that they could do that, but I'm sure it was very difficult. I know you can do it!

Rena, the quilt is beautiful. It is wonderful that your daughter will have something of her grandmother to remember her by, and to share with her own children one day.

Stella, unfortunately the baby bird fell sometime during the night and by morning had already died. We had been watching, hoping to be able to rescue it in time. The nest itself fell later in the day. The nest was very high in the tree, higher than our roof, and none of our ladders were high enough to reach it...

I wondered afterwards, how did mother and father pee wee feel when the nest started to twist? Did they worry about their baby? Were they sad when they lost it? Do birds have feelings?

The Mayor of Oklahoma City and The Biggest Loser have challenges going asking people to lost a million pounds. We could do something like that here (not a million pounds!!). We already have the forum! I'd join in, I'd like to lose about 5kg!

It's 18C here right now (64F) with a forecast high of 23C/73F. Perfect weather! Well, it would be if we didn't also have 96% humidity!

Thanks for all the support, you are all such wonderful people. I think I have an excellent shot at this as I never smoked inside, nobody around me smokes and it is too far to run to the store. Also, the Nicorette gum is helping.

Rena, I believe that you can do it. My sister and brother (both smoked for over 40 years) quit a few years ago.

BTW, the quilt is very nice. My mom used to quilt and still have the one she made me in college. I'm sure Amber will treasure it for years to come.

Suzy, sorry to hear about the pee wee. Last spring a baby squirrel fell out of our tree, hit the roof and fell to the ground. He crawled under a pile of leaves. The neighbor and I took him to an animal rescue place, but he died that night. I felt so bad.

Stella, glad you made it back ok. I don't mind driving in the snow. It's the crazies out there who are either nervous or wreckless that bother me. But then, maybe I scare them.

Julie, you got me to thinking about migraines and so checked out Mayo's website. Here is a link to alternative treatments: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/migraine-headache/DS00120/DSECTION=11.

I also found a website (MAGNUM) that has alot of info on it. I read a little bit of it and thought you might be able to get a few ideas. http://www.migraines.org/

When hubby used to get a lot of them, we sat down and made a list of things that seemed to trigger one (perfume, diet, etc.). Hope this helps.

I'll post this in your Inbox in case you miss it on here.

Good night, Becky! Thanks again for some ideas for migraine relief. I've just been reading the mayoclinic pages and recognize some of the other things my daughter has tried. I hope she won't need to wait until menopause for some relief.

Well then, I guess I'm not the only one having trouble getting here today. I couldn't access the site all day. That ruined my morning. Can't seem to get to the puzzles still. Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

This might give SA3 a boost in participation. Who knows? Depends on how many people figure out how to get here.
