Good evening all! Just trying to get together all the stuff we need for our trip tomorrow for our Christmas gathering. It's going to take a little longer than I thought to get there, 3 1/2 hours.

I didn't get to everyone's pages. I think I got half way through both the supporting members and free members.

May not be back to wish the Aussie's a Happy New Year! So, hope the new year is filled with wonderful surprises, good health and lots of love!

Mary, I'm horrified to say, I'm just about choccied out!!! I also got a box of Lindor dark balls (which are currently in the fridge cos they're so luscious when they are cold and then melt in your mouth!), a stocking full of choccy bars, Old Gold scorched almonds, gold coins (a tradition) and to top it all off, my sister then gave me a box of cherry liqueurs! What with the chocolate fondue we had for dessert on Chrissy day, I don't mind if I don't see another choc for at least....five minutes!

Greetings to Sudokuland!

Hubby and I have drank almost 2 pots of coffee already this morning, so I am late getting the pot on here.

Happy New Year's Eve Day to all Down Under. Huumm, I must remember when you shoot off the fireworks in Sydney, and find it on the tube somewhere, that would be about 7 am my tomorrow? Always love to see the fireworks with the bridge and the Opera House in the background somewhere. Then I can follow the celebrations on through the entire day as the New Year makes it's way toward us in the USA. Then I shall join EVE in watching the Rose bowl Parrade, I love the floats. thanks EVE for showing us the behind the scenes photos of the float. I did a bit of reading, and it seems of all the floats in the parade, only 5 are slef built now! the others are hired out to professional float builders. Part of a dying breed it seems.

Sorry MizT, been failing in my duties!

HELLO everybody!

Just a brief pop in before the day gets too hot. This room that the pooters are in gets hot anyway but today, we are expecting the heat that Perth had on Chrissy day. I believe it's supposed to get to 40C so I am catching up before finding a cool spot to do nuffin all day!
Lots of love to all and a very

to all my SA3 friends and families.

Trying once again to say hello in person. Sorry I missed you again, Becky! You were just 7 minutes after I stopped in, but I've been searching on the internet for Migraine Ice or similar gel strips. My migraines have subsided a great deal in the last 5 years. Unfortunately, younger daughter seems to be taking up the slack.

Julie, did you notice on easy they were talking about a product called Migrastick which is a herbal remedty applied to the forehead and nape of neck at the beginning of a migraine. Apparently it candramatically lessen the effects of the migraine if used at the onset.

Julie, my neighbor and hubby also get them. He just got one on Christmas.

The neighbor takes a scrip and claims that it works wonders. Hubby tried taking it and got sick anyway. If you want the brand name, let me know and I'll send you an e-mail along with a link.

Dryer door broke the day before Christmas.
Hubby asked if I'd like a new washer/dryer set. Told him no, that I could fix it. Finally was able to get the part yesterday. Today I took the door off and replaced the catch.
Tomorrow is laundry day here.

Gail, we're a few degrees cooler here. Took Merlin for a late walk and a dip in the ocean for me. Of course, the hotter the day, the colder the sea feels. LOL. But I got myself under the waves while Merlin played with various dogs on holidays with their owners. Some of them (owners, that is) were already settling on the sand with their champagne glasses.

Well, we got home at 11pm last night in a snow storm. The news said we were only going to get 3 to 6 inches. Hubby had to go to work today and when he said goodbye, I asked if he could get out of the driveway. He said he didn't check because we weren't supposed to get that much. We got a foot of very heavy snow. The middle of our driveway was a lake because the snow banks wouldn't let the water go anywhere when we got all of that rain and the driveway dips in the middle. Needless to say that hubby has been out there for an hour and a half with the snow blower trying to get it cleared enough to get the car out!

We need coffee here today, cold, damp, foggy, not a nice day! A taste of winter for the next 3 days, then they forecast warmer temps again.

Another hot day here today. No breeze whatsoever so very little relief through the night. The bureau actually listed last night's weather as oppressive! Head is not too bad, just a little foggy from lack of sleep rather than alcohol intake.
A very quiet one for us, as per usual. D#1 and 2 wre out for the night so it was just hubby, D#3 and I sitting in the very hot loungeroom at midnight, watching the fireworks on the TV. Life is just a whirl! Local fireworks were all cancelled due to a total fire danger being declared but the one's in the city went ahead.

AAHHH, Gail, sorry your local fireworks were spoiled by the hot dry weather, but a good idea not to mix fireworks and fire weather. Hope your weather breaks soon, and you get a nice cool breeze.

I could send you some of the cold weather comming by tomorrow night here, in the TEENS, and that is F, not C temps! I imagine I shall have two cats in bed with me. Mama kitty jumps up with me when it gets cooler and sits staring at me till I cover her with the blanket.

My kitties are not spoiled!

PLANS FOR TONIGHT: I have about 10 minutes to get dinner ready, hubby will be in to watch Auburn in the "something" bowl tonight. Bowl games once had easy names, Orange Bowl, Peach, Tangarine, Sugar, and Rose Bowl. Now they have the names of their corporate sponsor, and I can never remember them.

MizTricia1: There's always the Ti-Dee Bowl. That should be easy to remember.

We watched fireworks over our back fence last night. Our local race track had them at 9 and midnight and, although their notification letter said ground level to 100mm high, they were 100m high as expected. Those typos!! Nothing like as impressive as the harbour fireworks, but better because they were 'live'. We are over 2km away, but close enough for an impressive display...

Every new years eve we throw tonnes of confetti all over, and every new years day I get to vacuum it up! This year I'm not allowed to vacuum so daughters and hubby are doing it. What a wonderful way to start the new year!
