Weather Watch here, as there are tornadoes in our state. A long way from us now, but the line of t-storms that is producing the tornadoes will make it's way thought our area later in the wee hours. I did manage about 4 hours sleep fore the first storm, and hope I can go back once they are gone.

We get very good TV coverage of the weather events. At the moment, they are reporting damage from storm #1 that went though, a torando on the ground . Now a second tornado has dropped down, and running about 45 minutes behind the first, on almost the same track. OH MY. Way to early in the year for tornado season! Way to strong of storms for this time of year.

the rain has just started here. Lots of wind, rain blowing side ways. Not fun, we may have to vacate to the dome fore long. I have 2 kitties staying very close, they do not like the weather tonight.

SA3ers.
Looks like we've all remembered how to chat. Good, just like the good ole days!
I think it would be a good idea if every time you look in, leave a message then come back and check in a little while, that way we know when someone else is around the site. It's always understood that we may be off doing a puzzle or something but if we come back and see that another one of us is around, we can start getting together again.

Gday Broni, there's always a chance somebody is lurking (like me!).
I was just about to mention what we had for dinner tonight. It's a little something I came up with a few weeks ago, not sure what to call them, but I will post them on the receep page because they are fairly simple and most scrumbdicious. Hubby said tonight they have become one of my specialties!
Maybe I sghould just call them Gail's Lamb Racks.

Hey Gail, remember the dust bunnies? Well I have the dog hair tumbleweeds rolling thru the house every day! I just open the door and let them out.

We are a cat house, so our dust bunnies have to run and hide because the cats chase them and threaten them with kitty sneezers! That's what we call the cat hair floaters that seem to inhabit our home, although for the life of me, I can't think why. Wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that there is a cat on just about every chair and one sitting right next to me at the moment on the pooter desk!!!

As a Victorian who has lived up here for over 11 years I still cannot cope with the humidity, and if anyone else tells me how wonderful all this rain is I am going to SCREAM!

It's not that cheap here either! My oldest daughter calls lamb 'poor man's meat'! I keep telling her to go to the butchers and check the price out. It's more like 'king's ransom meat'!!!

I have only visited Qld once, many years ago before hubby and I were married. We went up there for a week in January to meet the new man in my sister's life and she said to only bring my coolest clothes. Coming from Sth Aus, that meant skirts, t-shirts and summer dresses. They were all way too heavy! She lent me a couple of sarongs and I didn't take them off the whole time I was there!
I hate humidity.

hehe I fully understand what you mean! I know they say that you can get used to almost anything but humidity is something I don't want to get used to. It makes me feel so drained.
A neighbour from ours in S. Aus moved up to Brissie and when she came back for a visit, she said that she would shower, dry off, then feel wetter than she did straight out of the shower. YUK!

Oh yeah, even if you have a cold shower, just drying yourself off is enough to break out in a sweat. I never used to sweat in the dry heat.

My sis told me to put everything in the fridge. I had no idea what she meant until I opened her fridge. The bread was in there, all the sauces, mustards etc, all the bread spreads, even the Vegemite! I couldn't believe it but she said anything left out would be covered in mould and unusable within a day.
As far as I am concerned, Qld is a noice place to visit, but I will never live there.

It's fantastic meeting people from this site. Apart from the big get-togethers that I have been to, I have also been lucky enough to meet some others at other times. Each time, it has been seeing a long-lost friend. Hugs and kisses all round.

Me too! I resisted pootering for so many years because hubby was a tech nut. You know, computers sort of felt like 'the other woman'!
This addiction I now have is sort of his fault anyway. He was the one who said that I could probably find sudoku online...and here I am.
Mind you, he has no idea about instant messaging or any form of chat. For that I call on my daughters!
My youngest set me up on MSN and my oldest daughter set up a Myspace page for me!!!

Do not facebook, haven't checked out myspace (there are only so many hours in the day) but it would have to better.
Friends of mine are on Skype, so I am going to have to re-learn all again.
Lucky we are smart!

I agree with the meeting up with other people from this site Gail. Everyone seems like a friend.
I have sorted out my vacuuming problems. Tomorrow I wll have some one in once a fortnight to do the vacuuming. Had asked hubby to do it but it just was not getting done.
A first time for everything.

Gday June, I just organised the same sort of service for my mother. She wasn't able to manage so well any more and my dad...well, he's a bloke, isn't he! Anyway, she became very unwell at the end of last year and my sister and I did an emergency dash over to Adelaide and while we were there, we gave their unit a spring clean that hadn't been done for quite some time. I contacted their local council to see what services were available. One of the things was 12 hours of general housecleaning for a very reasonable cost, so for an hour every two weeks, 'Natasha' goes there and vacs and mops. It's enough to help my parents to be able to still live in their own home for that bit longer.
