Looks like I just missed you. I had a long lie in this morning. Richard had an overseas (Los Angeles) presentation going on at work (he had to be available for technical support) so he didn't get in from the office until 1:30 this morning. We got to bed an hour later and slept late.

RUBY, thanks for your concern. Yes, I noticed your diplomacy. And do not for a moment think I have not already had those thoughts!
Today yet another "professional" will be arriving to take a look. At least he did not say, "it can't do that" like the first one did! Says it is a loose connection, somewhere in that circuit, and that is not dcangerous. I do hope he is right. Instead of overheating, it looses connection with electrojuice and turns itself off. I hope they make some progress today.

Good morning all! You guys have been busy chatting since yesterday morning, over 3 pages! The ornaments are off the tree, but I haven't put everything away yet because I am trying to organize it.
We had a great week skiing. We did have two days of high winds so the lifts on the bigger mountain were closed. Ian did everything possible. He went snow tubing, skiing, of course, swimming indoors and outdoors, played in the indoor fun zone, went ice skating, challenged everyone to a ping pong tournament and learned how to snowboard. A great time was had by all! Now, he has to catch up on the 4 days of school he missed!
Bryana got some good news. She applied for a program to attend classes in Spain for a month in the summer and applied for a grant to cover the cost. She got into the program and she got the grant. They are covering the airfare and the program cost. She only has to worry about spending money. I never though she would get it because it is for older students. It is exciting, but it also makes me nervous. I'll have to get a second mortgage to visit her over there.

No posts for hours, but it was very busy in here last night. You wouldn't believe it, but after watching to see if I was going to have to bucket water yesterday, today I am washing clothes and hanging them on the line!! I do have to wear gum boots though - the ground is very sloshy.

Congrats to those of you who got us up to (and PAST) comment 10,000! Huge CONGRATS to Bean for being the one to capture the precious 10,000 comment. I'm sure that qualifies you for a boa and a tiara!
Hi, MizTricia, June, Bean, Gail, Brenda, Stella, and Suzy!
Stella, CONGRATS to Bryanna for being accepted into the summer program AND receiving a grant to pay for it. It sure sounds like her decision to enroll in her school has paid big rewards! Congrats to you, too, for raising her, and for being confident enough in her to let her go to a boarding school in another state. I remember what a hard decision that was for you!

Congtatulations, Bean! we are passed 10,000 and going strong here.
I am told the grimlins are exorcised. I hope that is most accurate. By time electritian got here, lights were no longer flickering, but compuletely off, for only part of the house! So maybe that made it easier. Electrician thinks this was hidden damage from the huge lightening strike we had a while back. Damage was at the mail breaker box, which fora moblie home is on a pole away from the house!! So we were not in any danger, it seems. and like I said earlier, nothing was getting hot, or smoking or anything, it was just turning itself off.
So, we shall see if this is a fix, and tomorrow Hubby says he will remove the bright yellow or orange extension cords he has scattered about!!

MizT, hope that your problems have been fixed. Just remembering helping my dad rewire our house. Twas so easy. The house was over 100 years old. All we had to do was weight one end of the wire and drop it straight to the basement.

Rena, my hat's off to you. I'd be crazy by now. Hubby's only been here for 2 days, not counting the weekend, and he keeps telling me that he's bored. So, he was given a few "chores" to get him out of my hair for a bit.

Sunday we took the dog to the other SIL's grooming shop and bathe him. We weren't warned that an alarm system had been installed. As soon as we walked in the door, it started to beep. Just as the high pitched alarm went off, SIL and BIL ran in to turn it off. She wasn't sure if they got to it in time. Told her that we'd tell them that all we wanted to do was wash our dog.
