Didn't realise I hadn't posted much lately. I've been pretty busy but have kept up with reading.
Hope people who are not very well are doing a little better each day and positive vibes go out to everyone to stay well.
Vici I bet it was wonderful moving into your new rooms, it has taken a while to get there so all you have to do now is enjoy them.
We are going to Cheltenham tomorrow to pick our youngest up from Uni. She has a month off, has to go back on her birthday

Morning all!
Huge day today. Ally has Taekwondo grading - all going well she will go from a white belt to a yellow belt. The Pride girls all do TKD and will be singing for everyone during the lunch break. They learnt a new song last night - Eye of the Tiger - and they do the white belt routine to the song! It looks great. I hope Ally can remember her lines though, a new song in a night??? She's also singing We Will Rock You. Tonight is a carols thingy. Technically local but locals don't think of it that way. The girls were thrown in at the last minute. Big local controversy - violence last year so decided not to hold it this year. Big protests, lots of politics, police hired etc, okay we're going to do it - in 2 weeks. Nobody would take it on but the beloved organiser of Carols in the Park. She had the advantage of being able to borrow from the park plans. That was why there was such a huge rush to get Frosty finished.

Tomorrow there is something else on... thank goodness for my memory! (A page in my handbag that I refer to when people ask me can I be somewhere). Oops - I also have to sneak off from TKD for coffee with the girls this morning, they insist I have to be there. Tomorrow is the TKD picnic and Ebob has to work. Originally she was going to baseball but was scheduled to work instead.

Hmmmm, I see I am almost as chatty as Heidi.

Thoughts to Stella and Ian. Waiting for an update and hoped there would be one here. Sigh.

NOBODY is as chatty as I have been lately.

I thought Gath said on Easy that he's got someone else approving smilies and avatars now. They sure aren't doing their job.... I've been waiting about 5 or 6 days for some to be approved.

I believe my truck needs a new battery. I've had to jump start it twice today!

Gooc morning everyone.
Woken at 7something by a pile driver just outside the back gate. There has been a lot of activity around lately, we are being joined onto mains sewerage, so I thought it might have something to do with that...then I heard a chainsaw! Poked my head out to see what was happening, and it is the neighbour finally putting up a fence to keep his two bl**dy dogs in. Now while I appreciate him putting it up, I don't really like it this early!

And Gooc Evening to all of you.

Now IH's truck is in the shop. He won't be able to jump start my truck in the morning so I can get a new battery. I'll need a house call from the repair shop. I might as well just have them bring me a new battery.

Tami/Bobbi - good healing thoughts headed your way for Bernie. I do hope he's on the mend. The same thoughts to anyone else who needs them.
Phew - the weather has cooled a bit today only by about 5degC but enough to make it bearable. Yesterday was hot and busy. Mum's Xmas party went well and she enjoyed it. Chloe's birthday party here was the usual mayhem with 5 kids but they enjoyed it. I enjoyed it after everyone was gone, everything was tidied up and the dishwasher was going. A/C on all night for the first time this year. Feel sane this morning.
Heidi - woo hoo! Hallmonitor on the job!

Today I am torn...want to be in two places at once...AGAIN....story of my life.. it would be impossible to live long enough to do all I want to do...
Where I am not going to be is the WAW protest march.
"The Walk Against Warming is an annual event organised by the State Conservation Councils to call for strong action for climate change. This year will see the biggest Walks Against Warming yet, rallying 50,000 people across the country. A huge, vibrant turnout at this crucial moment will send a message to Kevin Rudd that all countries must do their fair share at Copenhagen."

Gooc evening everyone. I have a little bit of good (gooc) news. The doctor said my dad is doing better and he could be home from the hospital as early as saturday afternoon. He will have to go for another cat scan in a few weeks, just to check on things. Like I said before, good thing he is hard headed.

Copy and paste appears to have inserted an extra space to the above link between the last 4 & 6...

Today our local Community House is having their end of year extravaganza...the drama group, Community House Choir, the drumming group and the art group are all performing and doing their 'stuff'...

With the big break I had from the choir at the end of October I still haven't got my head around some of the words to the one carol we are doing [learnt while I was MIA]. i will be doing a bit of doo doo da'ing to fill in a lot of the words... I must remember to take the video camera...LOL...ha ha... what a hoot... of course I am exactly where I DO NOT want to be.. in the front row...BIG disadvantage of being short! Must remember to take a bunch of poinsettias so we can all put one in our hair or something....

The light refreshments afterwards will be good to wet the whistle which hopefully won't go into stage fright. It did the last time I had to sing in public... opened my mouth and NOTHING came out... weirdest sensation... making all the motions and actions but not a sound...

That is great news Tami.
When my FIL had a fall and a cerebral bleed they rushed him off to hospital and did a scan... he had dementia/alzheimers at the time and with all the brain shrinkage there was a lot of space for the bleed and no further treatment needed to be done... one of the rare advantages to being afflicted with shrinking grey matter... the doctors went so far as to say that it would have to be an ENORMOUS bleed to cause any symptoms that would require treating...

and now that I have up my 'post tally' I had best get off to the shower and make myself bootiful...HA HA..

BTW Vici.. what a good idea...see who all the chatterboxes are... as if we didn't know! I hope you were able to get back into the 'moving' and 'decorating' with renewed vigor after that interesting exercise...

Bean, he got lucky that it was just a little bleeding. It will eventually be absorbed by the brain. It has not gotten worse which is why they will release him. They are just going to check once more tomorrow. They will do a cat scan in a few weeks to make sure that it has been absorbed.

Bean, how is your brother?
Tami, good news the vibes are working again.
Spoke to Teresa last night, she couldn't come to see me because I've had a sore throat and the sniffles. SIL (Lynette) is still not out of the woods, she is still in an induced coma even after the second op and they have left her open in case they need to go back in. Teresa asked me to say a big THANK YOU to all!
Cyn the weather is not that bearable here, and I am a grumpy bear today.
Heidi think I had something similar to a Blinz down at the races last weekend, but they didn't roll it just flipped it in half and cooked it on the hot plate, spinach and ricotta.. it was yum.
