Good afternoon - thought I'd spell it the right way lest we end up with another 'wongerful gooc hocolate'.
Broni - has warmed up a bit too much in the last few hours but still much better than the last few days. You should be getting plenty more bay breezes at your place than I do. Still thinking healing thoughts for Teresa's SIL.
Suzy - pleased 'Eye of the Tiger' and TKD went well.
Tami - happy things are still looking good for your Dad.
Just paused 'The Boat that Rocked' on IQ so must go back to it. That's my era, although so far (half way) the story's not grabbing me but the music - that's different. Birthday coming up, think I'll hint to the family for the soundtrack. Hinted for Susan Boyle for Xmas.
That reminds me, I have a 6 stacker CD player in my car and about 2 months ago I took all my CD's out of the car to sort them out and haven't put any back!!! Talk back radio is great and I mostly listen to that in the car but sometimes I just want to hear music - and of my choice.

Broni - the Ipod has been usurped for someone else's car. Was originally in mine. Can't do much about it since I gave it to him for Christmas last year. Maybe I'll get one this year - something else for my wish list.

Morning everyone!
I have no idea why I'm awake so early. I was so tired driving home last night that I was lucky Ally was in a talkative mood or I might have fallen asleep on the road. We had a great night. I love watching little kids having so much fun! Families everywhere, a fantastic local school band and choir, a really nice night.

My oldest child is on the verge of being a teenager. I have 7 more hours until his birthday, although down under, he is already 13. He has been counting down for weeks. He is so excited to be a teenager.

Suzy. That's why you can't sleep, you're too excited!
Mitchell, for the next two days! Have fun during your next phase of life, but be sensible too. Remember, your parents are the same ones you've always had, they didn't suddenly become stupid and now not know anything! Heed their words for they are wise.

Gonna grab some of that SA magic if I may. Was woken up this morning by a phone call from Bill. He's having a neighbour take him to the emergency unit, the waterworks are playing up again.
I asked him if he wanted me to come over, he assures me he'll be fine, but of course I have already checked out flights!

Hi everyone, it is cold here also. Rain and sleet today, gray and windy, not a good day.
I just finished wrapping gifts that go to Christmas at my sister's house a week from today ( saturday) Next is to buy and cook up food to take with. Then on Sunday, another party, still must wrap those gifts and cook up some foods. This Sun day one is the hardest for me to find much I can eat from the proposed menu. they want finger foods and are having all the things I cannot eat. I will make one mini quiche kind of things to take with lots of veggies in them, to share, then make up a plate for myself of what I can eat. I can do this.
My hips are doing so much better since the injections to them. I have really improved my speed in walking. What once took me over 15 minutes to walk, today was done in less than 10. I have had to add considerable to my route to get a 15 minute walk. Fifteen minute is about my limit at a time fore hips hurt, but I do it twice a day, to get my 30. Then there are strength exercises, and exercises for my back and hips, takes a lot of time, but I am seeing improvement. I am able to be out and about more and enjoy doing things again. Cuts into my computer time considerably, plus Christmas stuff and I have been reading a long series of books. Good thing to do on a cold rainy day, curl up with green tea and a good book hehehe.
Hope all are well and everyone if getting ready for Christmas.
Hugs and love to all

Good morning lovely SA people.
Oh dear, more health problems - good healing thoughts to Bill, Bernie, MizT - glad you're seeing some improvement.
On a lighter note, a big Happy Birthday to the lovely Suzy and to Mitchell, the teenager (Gail - you said it well). Hope you both enjoy your special day.

Gail and Cyn, don't you both know that it is a right of passage to "know" that your parents are stupid? My older brother put it the best: when the kids are little, you are like the supreme being who knows everything; when they are teenagers you know absolutely nothing and are the stupidest people alive; eventually they realize that maybe mom and dad do know something.

Yes, Tami, we're just warning you about that middle bit. Sometimes it doesn't last too long but they DO eventually recognise that parents are OK and have their uses - babysitting, storage of unused but pre-loved and don't-want-to-let-go items, or a haven to escape to if the going gets tough! But somewhere in there, they do acknowledge that you've been great parents and they do love you - and that makes it all worthwhile.

Good Evening, SA9! Sorry I missed yesterday - and barely here today. Too much to do, and just back from 2 1/2 hour (each way) trip to my sister to get hair cuts.
Heidi - sorry to hear that the tooth has died, although the pain is gone. How is your back today? How are Ouima and Vibes doing?
Rolanda and Peter - hope you enjoyed Fleetwood Mac! Thinking positive thoughts for your Mum!
June - hope you had a great Christmas party! Positive vibes for your friend!
TamiTT - hope your Dad is doing better! Positive thoughts & prayers for him, Bobbi and you!
Suzy - congrats to Ally and her first in a junior league bowling! Congrats to and Pride for all the good cheer they spread! I hope blonde Pride girl continues to improve!
It's good to hear that Josh is on the mend.
Liz, be careful with your holiday eating - just one or 2 bites of the things you love and SAVOR the taste. I, too, have fought a battle with weight gained after thyroid surgery. It's too many years, and a continuous struggle. Good luck! Feel better!
Sending positive vibes for Judy's continuing treatment!
Sending more positive thoughts for Cyn's sister!
Loads of prayers and positive thoughts to the women and men looking for a cure!
More prayers and positive thoughts to Manny, Brenda's friend and Teresa's SIL!
Thoughts, wishes and love to everyone mentioned, the anonymous ill people who weren't mentioned, and all of the well people too!
If I have forgotten anything, I apologize & send positive thought for a happy holiday season to everyone!
