Everything will be fine, I know that, just have never known a hospital to work this fast! Bit of a whirlwind.
I asked him again if he wants me to come over, there is a flight later tonight (have some appts to keep today). He said no, but I am still in two minds...

Hugest hugs I have Gail!! I think you might feel better if you can go and see him for yourself even if he says he is okay. Depending on what is going on at home of course.

If Pride girl gets a good doc she'll be on an IV for a few days. If she gets a bad one she'll either be sent home still unwell or sent off to surgery...

Suzy... any idea about what's wrong with her?

Gail... Suzy is right. You'll feel much better if you go see him anyway. There's nothing to lose (except a little money) by flying out there. You would regret it for the rest of your life if you didn't and it was more serious than you've been lead to believe.

Gail, all my positive vibes going out to Bill.
Thank you everyone for all your good thoughts. Dad came home today and is already happier in his own house. He will have to take it easy for a few weeks but he should be back to normal (not that he was ever normal) fairly soon. Mitchell's Bar Mitzvah is in 6 weeks so he has plenty of time to rest. I just hope he doesn't drive my mom too crazy.

Had an OK day at work today - although lost a resident that I was close to, the girls at work are seeing a pattern in the residents that have an effect on me, seems I get most upset when the very naughty with advanced dementia, the types that flick towels hehe, are the ones I grieve for the worst, this lady was a piece, if her dinner wasnt hot enough, and she meant on fire, she would throw it across the floor, and wow dont be in the way or your gonna wear it.. she will be missed.......

Heidi - wow Marion must have felt so empowered, great story,
I had a friend that found out her husband was cheating, must say she was a very petite woman, went to his work place, a large workshop in mechanics, with lots of other guys around, she walked up behind him tapped him on the shoulder, when he turned she punched him in the face as hard as she could, and broke four fingers doing it, she said she had never felt so empowered, must have fealt great..............

Well friends, I have decided not to go, for reasons that I wont go into here, but it is an exploratory with a camera, so not a surgery per se, so apart from the fact that any anaesthetic is a bad one, I have no real concerns. I will ring the hospital tomorrow afternoon and let you know.
Thank you all for your love, concerns, support and advice.

Nola.... Hugs to you and Judy. I hope the chemo is worth it.
Gail... I'm glad you're keeping a close eye on Bill. I hope his exploratory finds what they need to find. Answers are always good. You can't fix it if you don't know what it is.
Lizzy!!! You're back at work already??!!?? I'm sorry to hear about that character who passed away. Her brain may have shrunk but she was no vegetable. She must have been fun before the dementia struck.

Morning all!
Gail, sending hugs and vibes for Bill.
Nola, I hope Judy copes okay with the chemo. Sending cool cloths, vibes, thoughts and wishes to her.
Liz, I was surprised to hear you are back at work too. Hope it doesn't tire you out too much.
Heidi, that is so true - and too often they don't know what it is.

Did you hear about the boy/man with MS who can walk again after stem cell treatment? 1 in 100 chance of dying, which is very high, so only for those in a very bad way right now, but what an amazing step.

Nola, Thinking of Judy, not an easy time. My 'friend' starts Ray treatment on Thursday. We hope this will be more successful for her than the Chemo. I understand the 'itches' Nola. The last couple of times I had hives (this year) I ended up taking cortisone tablets for a couple of weeks.
Tami, pleased your father is home and hope he does realise he needs to rest and be ready for Mitchell's Bar Mitzvah.

Gail, thoughts are with you and Bill. Just be ready to go if he does need you. Hope they can find and fix his problem.
Hope things work out for the "Pride' girl. I had a great book on severe allergies and how to overcome them with natural (including reflexology) remedies. I lent it to someone and have not got it back so cannot tell you the title. Pleased you enjoyed your birthday. The 'relax' was a nice treat.

Liz, sorry you lost one of your favourite patients. How wonderful that you can give of yourself to those people that are in the twilight of their life. Hope your hormone levels are slowly sorting themselves out and you are feeling better.
Broni, have the fingers healed?
Rol&a, will your Mum have to have any treatment? An older lady at the bowling club has just had her second mastectomy(first 5 years ago) and this time they are just giving her a tablet to take and she says she is feeling fine. I hope they have something like that if your Mum is to have anything.

And after all that I am sick of hearing and talking about sick people so

A "Jolly Good Morning" to all my friends.

I am loving all the Christmas cards as they arrive. It is worth all the effort I have put in to sending them to my friends.
Now off to make a cake for the lunch I am going to attend.

Cake is cooked. Just have to put cream on top when it is cold. Recipe has apple brandy in the cream. I will have to put Grand Marnier as I do not have any apple flavoured brandy! Interesting cake which only has eggs, sugar, hazelnuts and apple. I have not made it before so should be interesting!
Squishy machine is on I might go and have some breaky.

Good morning lovely people.
Yes Heidi - we knew what you meant!
Gail's Bill, Nola's sister, June's 'friend', Suzy's Pride girl - all in my thoughts.
Lizzy - so pleased you gave those people a piece of your mind. The girl that Andrew befriended that I told you about - 'unfriended' him on FB - no loss.
I've got Emily all week (her lovely mother 'couldn't wait to get rid of her'). I feel so sorry for her. Long story and getting worse day by day - can't say too much here.
