Got 2 homeless kids and their ride - we live too far out of town for the average person to walk, plus a couple of others who are not planning on staying. I think they are all leaving in the morning and coming back later though...

Were they invited guests, Suzy? I am appalled that they arrived for a party the day before it was to start! I would have sent them away despite the distance from town. It sounds like you've already lost control. I hope the police have been alerted that there's a good chance that there will be a problem tomorrow night. There already is a problem now!

Good Maen everyone!! Got up at 6:30, coughing as usual. Sinuses are better, cough hurts!!
Sending loving thoughts, healing vibes & prayers for those ailing/getting better. I read the last 3 pages, still waking up, memory not great.
Another famous dyslexic: Jay Leno (also Cher). Those are 2 more I know of. Coffee's on, help yourselves. TTFN everyone!

Julie, I also hope he is getting enough nourishment with his tube feedings. he becomes a GOM and refuses some feedings, says I am always poking something down him! We will see if he keeps loosing weight. Last week he lost about half a pound, but " they counted it as a pound" says he. I cannot hold him down and force feed him, just trying to do the best we can. OH, he is taking a few bites daily and swallowing, wanting to keep the throat accustomed to food going down, It does hurt, and he does get choked occasionally, but yesterday he ate some oatmeal and evening had some mashed potatoes. Solids go down better than liquids. We will see come Monday when they weigh him again.

Shucks Suzy, I get an error message with instructions to try again later. I hoped to hear Allie sing.

Theresa, been thinking of your daughter all morning, hope the surgery is now successfully over and she can start the recovery process. HUGE HUGS to you all.

Ahhh, got the video this time. those two voices do compliment each other, I liked them together. The teacher stands there and sings, she is a singer. Allie moves about with the music, she is a performer.

The surgeon just called my SonIL ... the operation is over. They capped the femur (I believe it's called a refinishing or refurbishing) instead of doing a hip replacement. The bad thing about that is that will last about half the time a total hip replacement would last. But it also means that her recovery time might not be so long ... hopefully. I will now grab some breakfast and then grab a nap because I quite honestly didn't sleep that well last night. Thanks for all the good thoughts you have sent our way. ♥♥♥♥♥

I'm so glad that the operation is over, Theresa. The surgeon must have felt that she didn't require a hip replacement once he got a look inside. She will have a quicker recovery. Has anybody sent a message to the school to let the grandies know that everything is OK?

I just got the show and sale catalog for the Beef Expo the first weekend in March. There are some interesting looking females. I just hope the prices don't go higher than I want to pay. Cattle prices are the highest I've ever seen right now.

Heidi, they are invited guests and asked first before they arrived. I had a chat with one of the homeless kids and I said something like - kids complain about their parents all the time and don't know how lucky they are. She answered 'I know, they say I couldn't go out last night and I think, well I couldn't go home last night'.. She is on a waiting list at 2 different shelters.

I'm awake, I'm awake.

Heidi, we didn't tell the kids, but they are going with their other grandma to visit their mom after school. Hubby is going with them too, but I'll wait until Saturday I think.

Good luck, Suzy.

I need to go outside in a few minutes and feed hay. It's still raining something fierce. I hate the idea of leaving deep ruts in the pasture when I carry the hay out there, tho'. It's going to be a mess.

Rolanda, they are 6 and 7.

Only my SonIL is visiting D tonight. My daughter phoned him to say she still does not have a room and because of that she can't have more than one visitor. She is not happy because she really wanted to see her girls.

There was a message on my phone when I got up that I have won an all expense cruise to the Caribbean. Yeah, right! The call came from a phone number from Montana.

We are under a winter storm watch tonight and tomorrow. The weather says: "Brisk north winds in combination with the heavy falling snow will result in low visibilities in blowing snow."

I refuse to allow it ... no more snow!

I won 50,000 pound from British Telecom Theresa, maybe I'll come to the Caribbean with you...

Where do they have your daughter while she's waiting for a room Theresa? In a hallway???? I'm so glad you didn't tell the girls they were going to visit, they would have been heartbroken!!

okay, I can hear hubby's alarm clock, I am going to back to snoozeland.
It was his tossing and turning that woke me up sooooo early, and I couldn't get back to sleep...
see if I can get another hour and half sleep before needing to be up for real

Suzy, I'm not sure where my daughter is, probably a hallway. She was supposed to be in the recovery room for 3 hours. Because she didn't have a room, she asked the nurses to use a phone to call her hubby and I guess one of the nurses gave her a hard time about it. Imagine that, a patient who expects to be in a room wanting to phone her family. How dare she??

The grandies were expecting to visit this evening, they knew they were going. But at least this one can be blamed on the hospital. I haven't heard any screaming coming from next door. I'll go over in a bit to help their other grandma (the one they call nanny).

Sleep well Rolanda!

Cows have been fed 6 rolls, and are very happy, despite the pouring rain and the foot deep mud. I know that it's that deep from the ruts I left with the tractor. There are no new calves .... neither from today or yesterday. The rain is supposed to continue thru' Monday, and it's only Thursday.

Good news this morning. Glad the op is over successfully, Theresa! Do you know what I'd do? I'd take the kids anyway. They need to see that their mother is OK much more than that hospital needs to enforce rules - how ridiculous! I can understand they wouldn't want 4 or 5 people gathering around talking and laughing loudly - but, the girls will only feel better when they see she's OK!!

Heidi, if it rains that hard till Monday, you will have to do cow checks by boat! Hope the rain lets up a bit for you.

Theresa, glad the surgery is over. Perhaps you will know more once your son in law comes home.

I just read there was another cyclone that went passed Darwin and it could turn around and come back again? NO MORE, you Aussies have had enough.

Time to fling food here, and not sure what I will fling. Not really hungry, but probably need something. HUGS to all with extras.

Just came back from next door and there is nobody there. Maybe nanny took the kids to McDonalds??? Scooped the litter boxes and put the laundry away while I was there.

Cyn, because my daughter does not have a room yet the kids would not be allowed in. My SonIL insisted he was going to visit her this evening and they eventually consented. It's not her fault there's no room, she has waited long enough for this. Gotta love our health care system.

I am up.. Tired!!

Trica: that cyclone ( Carlos ) you are talking about..
Crossed over the West Coast about mid way down on Wednesday, and went back out to sea again, and gained strength again, Carlos is heading away from the Coast, no threat!

Theresa - no, it's certainly not her fault that she doesn't have a room. It's a sad state of affairs and happens here as well. I just meant, what are they going to do about it, if he did take the girls. Anyway, hope she gets a room asap.

My feet are aching! I started at the police station, then the optometrist - Dana's eyes are still dilated, then IGA, KMArt, Woolworths and Aldi...

Just fed the 3 who are still here lunch, the girl cut up carrots for me. Still quite a bit to do, but it's manageable - at least it would be if I hadn't forgotten to buy the birthday cake on the way home..

Yes Heidi, my slow connection wouldn't open the page I needed to do it online before yesterday and it said I needed to fax in the forms or go in person because it was within 3 days - I knew the local guy doesn't even look at them until today, but that's what the website insisted on so I had to do it.
