We used to have them but I stopped buying them years ago. They almost caused a fire in my dryer! The softener in them clogged up the air vent at the back and the material in the front filter. I had to take the whole thing apart, remove all the cloggy lint and wash out the filter cloth.
Because I stopped buying them, I haven't noticed if they are still available.

Is Rolanda still keeping track of the TOPPs? You guys must have a lot since there were at least 25 pages of posts when I was gone!

It is always touching Stella. I am just glad it is too dark for anyone to see me crying!
Good night/day girls.

Lest we forget.

If you use those impregnated sheets in your clothes dyer you must regularly wash the filter of the dryer with warm soapy water. Apparently the build up of that chemical is a common cause of your dryer and also you house catching alight.

Dryer fires are not uncommon, but I thought it was more from built up lint rather than the dryer sheets. I check the external vent a couple of times a year and I have a filter on the tube as well.

Hi all, sorry I went mia again. Thought I was just catching a cold on Saturday, but by early evening my throat was really bad. Averaged 2-3 hours of sleep each night. Tuesday went to the doctor and have a bad sinus infection. Gave me meds and slept almost 11 hours the last 2 nights.

Oh Becky, I hope you're feeling better! You sound the way the three of us feel. Max got sick and then gave it to me and hubby. I too think it may be a sinus infection. Too bad you couldn't get the 11 hours in a row! That would really help you get better!

Hi Stella. Thanks, I'm feeling much better. I meant to say that I've slept 11 hours both nights. I even snuck in a nap yesterday.

Have you guys gone to the doctor?

Brenda, hubby and I watch Torchwood. Since our cable company took the channel away from us, we have a neighbor tape it.

Mamacita, glad to hear that you had a great time. Will try and stop by your page soon.

We have not been to the doctor. First of all, we are down two vehicles and second, I hate going to the doctor because it always seems like a chastisement - "why are you here, you just have a cold," or " why didn't you come sooner, how come you let it go this long." So you can't win! But, I do seem to be getting better and if necessary, I have antibiotics in the fridge I can take. When Max's face was swollen, they gave him 3 antibiotics because the first two weren't doing the trick.

Know what you mean. I don't like going to the the doctor either. Guess I've got mine "trained." He knows I go in only if I'm hurt or really sick, so he leaves out the lecture now.

Since there's a bad cold going around, that's what I thought was wrong. None of the usual symptoms of a sinus infection (pressure points, etc.).

JUNE, thought I was the only one who had kitties that wake me at night! last night, the main offender elected to stay outaide over night. No kitty in my face middle of th enight. she only gets up on the bed once it gets cool at night. winter time, she waits beside the bed for me to go to bed, and hops right up there and wants under the blanket. Spring time, she wants for house to cool down from the heat of the day, and middle of the night jumps up on the bed with me. silly girl!

About dryer sheets. If you have the fine wire mesh type filter, take it out and to sink. If you fill with water and it runs right through, no problem. If you fill with water and it does not drain, OH BOY, you were in grave danger of overheating. if water cannot flow through, neither can air. Wash this type with a brush to get all the "pores" open again.

YES, lint can also be a problem, it can also reduce the flow of air leading to overheating, and supplies a combustible material for the heated parts to ignite. Best to check both of them. I checked my dryer, and no problem, cause I use those dryer sheets only rarely. Well, I use my dryer rarely too, so not a real problem!

We have another beautiful day here! It's hard to believe that the weather has been nicer here this week than it was in Florida. Too bad I can't really enjoy it. Between my cold and allegies with everything blooming, I haven't been outside much.

CYN B, I know just the type toys you mean. I had a little man who could 'dance'. There seems to be a string that goes through the parts, that hold it together. As a child, the string broke on mine and my Dad tried tying it back together. The little man did not dance as well and could not stand fully upright becuse the string was shorter and tighter.

Now, on days when I wake up terribly stiff and hard to move, I say I woke up with my string too tight!!

MORNING STELLA! Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. we have a high pollen count now, and whatever it is makes my eyes water. I have eye drops for them, and that does help. why take the antihistamines that affect whole body when I need them only in my eyes??

Yes, those eye drops have been a lifesaver for me. Nothing worse than itchy sore eyes! I try to stick with the nondrowsy allergy medicine, like claritin. I don't think it works as well as the antihistamines, but at least it lets you function without that groggy feeling.

I woke this morning and looked out of my bedroom window (before putting glasses on)and thought we had had a covering of snow. All I could see was the top of our pear tree. We hadn't had any snow, it was just the pear blossom fully opened on the tree.
Then this afternoon we had a hail storm. Weather can't decide what to do just now.
