MizT, I have one cat who is terrified of noisy storms, be they thunder or heavy rain. In fact, the last time it happened, just recently, he was making all sorts of strange sounds and panting hysterically. Then the penny dropped! Storm. I hadn't thought of trying him in a closed space. I just talked to him and let him stay by my side while I was flinging food. Normally the cats aren't allowed into the flinging room, for obvious reasons.
It's hilarious actually. Where the flooring changes at the entry to the kitchen, from carpet to lino, there is one of those metal strips (you know the ones Judy!), and the cats sit on that line and DO NOT cross! They crane their necks as far forward to try and watch me krowing, but they will not come into the k-room. Except naughty Nibbles of course...she tears into the room at a million miles an hour, and tries to do a quick U-turn out again before she gets told off. Of course being on lino she has no grip. Very funny to watch and it makes me laugh, so I really doesn't sound as stern as I should.

Good Mean Sudokuland.
Gail, I can just see naughty Nibles comming flying in and try to stop, so funny. You are a very good kitty mommie to teach your kitties the K room is off limits. Not everyone can get a cat to mind them, you know.
No rain at the moment but a chance of rain for next 3 days. I should bring in those clothes from the line, spin them again, and hang them on the shower curtain rod. they served their purpose, attracted us some rain hehehe.
Broni, thanks for checking in, hope you are well also dear.

Rain showers are lulling me back to sleepy town. There is nothing pressing this morning, so I think I shall give in and find my bed and my dreams. Catch you later friends.
Heidi, it is 10 am your place, did your T storms arrive?

Hi everyone. Just a quiet saturday. Hubby has to work tonight so it will be me and the boys. Gonna go to the local mall. Need a pair of shorts for the summer. I haven't been able to find any in the discount places, so hopefully I will get lucky.

Thunderboomers did NOT arrive at 10 am!
Great insurance, getting those tranquilizers. The rain is holding off, and the hay is being rolled.

Tami... have you tried eBay? That's where I buy mine. A large selection in my size, for reasonable prices.

TAMI, good luck with your hunt for shorts. Remember, if you cannot find what you want, I am sure our own China Doll could whip you up a pair in the bog swamp, with secret pockets even! I think you could be next in line after Suzy's size 10s.

Heidi, Good Morning to you, I think all your predicted rain took the southern route, we have had 2 thunder storms roll through and another storm coming. I am glad the hay is being rolled, hope you get a good yield on it. Here, farmers seem to be getting more hay, more often, from all the rain.
I did find my bed earlier, but never found my dreams, I heard thunder and got up to turn off computer. I had just sat down when the lights flickered and off went the puter hehehe. If I had waited just one more minute,I could have stayed in bed.

Forgot, I was going to say, my oldest daughter busy and sells gently used clothing on eBay. Many items she has bought for her boys, they wore, outgrew, and she re-sold them for what she paid. Nothing like dressing your children in name brands (Abercrombie and Finch) for the price of shipping.

We're getting a really good yield right now. The grass, alfalfa and clover have grown like fury with all the rain we've had. There is already lots of regrowth in the field that was rolled just over a week ago.

Mamacita, I am sorry to hear about your allergies. I think they would be worse than getting sick because they're guaranteed to arrive every year and hang around. Feel better.
Feel better wishes to Adam too and any others who need them.

I might have to adjust my size request for the Rolanda-shorts. I have been eating like crazy while on prac and if things don't change I'll be going for the size up....
Busy week this week. LOTS of teaching, plus I'm going to watch a fish dissection. I wanted to watch the heart dissection but that's on at the same time as my physics class -drat.

MizT, hope you have found some dreams by now. I like thunderstorms - when they happen rarely, all my hsaw is dry, I don't have to be anywhere, the cars are safely undercover, everyone is at home.....

Suzy, yes, I did get a nap and find my dreams again, woke to all clear skies, the rain is gone for today. My front lawn is that lovely spring green it gets with abundant water. I think it is saying thank you for the rain.
Heidi, are the tranquilizers for Dennis pills, liquid or injectable? I feel certain if you have raised puppies, you are capable of giving injections.

The Vet just prescribed acepromezine for Dennis. That's in tablet form. I have no problem giving injections, tho'. I do all their annual shots.

I got lucky at the mall and found 2 pairs of shorts. That is after trying on about 20 pairs in 4 or 5 different stores. I don't think ebay would work for me. I am never sure of my size it depends on the brand. I have to buy a size bigger than I need or the rise is usually too short.

I just finished moving 74 rolls of alfalfa hay. I gave 2 of them to the cow herd to let them try it. They seem to approve.

While I was moving the hay, IH noticed the missing door on the tractor. To avoid any yelling, I lied to him. I let him think that I broke it, and not Robert.
The new door was ordered over a week ago, so hopefully it will be here soon. I miss using the air conditioner.

Hi SA8ers!! Been MIA again!! Sorry!! Lots of rain, thunder, lightning the past few days.
Gail: Thanks for the well wishes for my dad (doing fine) and my parent's 45th anniversary (tomorrow 6/14) I will call them tomorrow to see how they are. My aunt Sandra (mom's sis--who I stayed with in April) will be there for a few days next week...A friend of ours (Mike, aka Doc) from California, who lives here now, came for pizza & wine tonite. Darrell was at work, so we had a good time, great conversation. He is still in the Army National Guard and will be going to Iraq next month for over a year...please keep him in your thoughts. He's a sweetheart and a great friend, I will miss him a lot when he goes, he is like a big brother to me (even tho I am older than him)

Tami, I don't know how you stuck with the shopping for so long. I really really really don't like shopping. I probably would have got to the 3rd pair and quit. I would have regretted it later, but....
Suzanne, I will be thinking of Doc. I don't like the idea of anyone going to war. Makes me tear up.

Suzanne, I have had one mild migraine and don't know how regular sufferers cope. I felt weird for 3 days! I'm fighting a cold - don't want it until AFTER I finish my prac. I keep telling it to go away, and it keeps sneaking back. Luckily it seems to be fairly mild.

Suzy: Thank you, he's a dear friend. He says he won't be in direct combat, but I still worry...He is an only child and his dad passed away a few years ago and he is estranged from his mom, I feel like he's family. When my hubby went away to school for the Air National Guard 2 years ago, he took me grocery shopping EVERY week and called me to make sure I was ok, because as I've said before, I don't drive.
