It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

I can keep any shells I find. I wouldn't touch the live snails, even if I was allowed to. Too many of them are dwindling in populations, and should be left alone. That's the main reason I want to go diving..... to look for shells. There are a couple of species found around there that I want to search for.

Hannah doesn't have school today so I slept in a little, only to be awoken by the arrival of the truck delivering another 3 metres of mulch! Guess what I will be doing when hubby gets up?

Tricia, very glad to make Cathi's acquaintance.
You may be right about Gator's birthday, isn't the first and probably wont be the last time it has happened.

Heidi, I do feel for you. Your night with the sooky dogs sounded awful. Hope you manage a couple of nana naps during your day.

Brenda, aah wireless, is there nothing it can't do?

Sooky is a term I haven't heard before. I can figure it out, though.
I did have a couple of naps today. I'm expecting more storms tonight. I'll probably sit up with those idjit dogs, and watch a movie or 2.

Aimee, great question about ffuts and I loved reading the answers.
Thank you for sharing about your MIL, she sounds like she was a marvellous woman.

I'm sure I saw Suzy, but I may be mistaken!

Nola, sorry to hear about your psoriasis. I don't have it but it does run in the family. Mum had it and I just found out that one of her sisters has it very badly.
I know what you mean about getting your hair done though, I did yesterday as well...NO MORE GREY!

The term sooky has come up in earlier SA's, it had to be explained back then. Isn't it funny that even though we speak the same language, there are words that just mean absolutely nothing to some of us!

Good night everyone. We had parents night at camp. Got to meet most of my new campers and their parents as well as see my campers from last year and how much they have grown. It is making me feel old. Gonna watch some tv with hubby. Have an early day tomorrow. Tomorrow is CPR and first aid training. It has to be renewed every 2 years and I expire this year.

Hi, Everyone! I had a VERY basic CPR training once many years ago. I heard that now they teach you to make sure the airway is cleared and do the compressions to the beat of "Staying Alive." I guess that makes sense.

I've never been trained for CPR, but I have successfully resuscitated several animals.

ME , ME, ME, I can do CPR. well , once I could at least. It has been ages since I did CPR on the dummy. Never had to do it on an adult. I am sure a lot has changed. I would be better with infants, that was my focus in nursing. I actually taught CPR for infants on our unit. Had to get an instructor's certificate, just lots more hours of the same kind of thing you get in basic CPR. It was easier having someone on our unit who could re-certify our nurses. On infants, we used just 2 fingers for compressions, and puffs of air from your cheek for breaths, so not to get too much air into their little lungs.

Cathi has asked me to say thank you for the kind messages on her page. She gets those in her e-mail box and can find that hehehe. She is still trying to learn how to sign in and access pages and such here in sudoluland, said to tell you she is very computer challenged at the moment. We will get her settled in, given time.

Evening all!
Flying visit. I'm just home and exhausted. Ally will be singing Silent Night and Frosty the Snowman at this years carols, as well as singing the aussie xmas songs with the 'group'. Yes, they start organising it now. Her songs may change if they practice them and they don't suit her voice.

I've had fun scanning the comments, but apart from Tami expiring (oh no!) and Broni talking business plans (sounds exciting) I can't remember a blasted thing.

Night all....

SUZY, latest news is "the" flu is now pandemic. They WHO moved it to level 6 yesterday. First time we had a pandemic illness in over 40 years.

Everyone, keep those hands washed or sanitized with an alcohol based hand sanatizer, and try to break the habit of touching your face, see, you just did it, STOP

I hope that Ebob's boyfriend's family all recovers soon. Quarantine would not be fun.

GOOD Maen Sudokuland. I forgot my manners this morning, let me find them.

Another warm humid start to a day, summer weather. At least our temps were a bit more moderate than most of the state yesterday, enough clouds and rain nearby to keep us about 8 degrees cooler.

I did get 2 loads of hsaw out on the line, they dried quickly even with the humidity, nice breeze. First load, towels even, were dry by time I did second load. OK, I did not immediately do second load, ffuts got in the way!

One more load to hang out today, it is in the sloshy thing now. Still trying to attract some rain, HEIDI is keeping it all up in Kentucky, Seems we cannot buy a little shower down here. Oh well, grass will not be jungle catagory as fast.

Heidi are all the dogs so afraid of t storms, or a few , and they set off the rest? I would be crating the scardy cats, and putting a cover over the crate, dark, dry and small, they would think they were safe in their den and perhaps calm them. Well, at least the dogs I had would be like that, they still had so many feral instincts.

I had suggested this to a cyber friend, whose very large dog hated thunder and lightning. While she was trying to order a crate, another storm, and he found a small closet. He managed to rearrange contents and snuggle on the floor. that became the dogs safe place for storms. If he started acting up, his Mom would direct him to his closet and he would sleep through a storm.

I notice our cats when a T storm is approaching, they want in the house, then under something, the coffee table, or in a chair that is pushed under the table. A roof low over their head, and something solid to their back, small and dry, and they feel safe.

Broni, business plans sound good, hope they are successful and you can leave Dumb and Dumber. Keep us informed as you go along.

BEAN, of course your CPR would be current, we shall call on you if need arises hehehe. Did we get TAMI resuscitated? did not see her this morning.

SUZY, I was thinking, Friday, weekend approaching, you could rest some, but then I remembered your normal hectic weekend schedule with the girls activities, never mind.

Julie, hope you had a good night's sleep, even if it was short in length. May today bring you something that makes you smile.

GAIL, yes, we all speak English, of a sort, but local words are so unique. Al keeps saying we are separated by a common language. I love the differences in our language, adds some local color.

My sloshy thing is quite, I should go and check if it has finished. Hang those clothes, tempt the rain yet again.

Have a good day all, hugs and love.
