Sydney is definitely on the list...at the end of her trip in November...tentatively thinking the 7th at this stage...Lachies final exam is on the 6th...thought it would be a bit mean to skedaddle before he has done his exams...need to make sure he goes to bed on the night before...eats etc....clean hanky...spare biro... Need to discuss this with June and make sure she will be around to put us up...or should I say put up with us!!! I believe she did volunteer....

Oh My, what fun planning the Vici trip! How I wish I could catch a ride along in her luggage hehehe.
Good Maen Sudokuland. I am here with coffee, trying to wake up this morning. Maybe a couple of cups shall be needed today. Cloudy and chance of pop up thundershowers, we could use a shower today. Perhaps I could help things along and hang a load of wash out to dry? That has been known to attract rain.
GAIL thanks for the comment about the doctor story. I always wonder about all my stories, if you readers get tired of them or enjoy.
Heidi, I imagine the prescription diving mask will make all the difference in your enjoyment. Find many shells, and have fun. It is nice to see what you are looking at, under water or above.
BEAN, what bulbs will you be planting? and what happened to your table?

Just back for a couple of minutes - I've been trying out Sims 3 ... mmm, think it will take a while to get the hang of it! At the moment I'm reserving judgement.
Gail and Bean: meeting up for lunch sounds like fun. Let me know where and when - you can come to my place if you like, we're conveniently located - Maccas on one corner, KFC on the other(your choice!) ;)

Afternoon all, I've been playing with a new camera this morning. Richard and I decided to treat ourselves to a new one after he won some money the other day. If we had put the money in the bank then it would have been wasted, so we decided a new camera would be nice.

WOOT Good for you two Brenda and Richard. I had virtually never used a camera before, but it was due to SA that I picked up the camera to take some shots of my salvia plants. Now hubby calls that camera mine! Love it, but always forget to take it to the important things.

Anyone know anything about Zurich? Meghan has a 24 hour layover there.

Could it be that Gator's birthday is November 6th, and not June 11th? Many of us topsiders get confused and write dates on here the way they are written in the US, not way they are written down under. Just a thought.

Any friend of yours is a friend of ours, MizT.
I just spent the Night From H3ll!!! Thunder, lightning and heavy rain all night. Several of the more senile dogs completely freaked out. They were attacking other dogs, knocking over furniture, destroying doors and driving me crazy all night. I didn't get to sleep until 6 am!

We are having a thunder storm right now and have had to unplug the laptop, so I'm now running on battery power.

Good Morning, SA8! Just took a few minutes to glance through comments, so of course CRAFTs struck. I noticed Heidi's comment about storms. One of our offspring is in Texas. When we spoke last night & again this morning we were told of some horrific storms there. I guess they sent them on to you, Heidi. My apologies. I hope you can get a nap today!

Aimee. We spell bad words backwards. Ffuts, gninaelc, krow. None of us like to swear that much.

Aimee, it is kind of cute how the backwards spelling came about. We were discussing dyslexia, and found many on here have this to some degree or another. A couple of us said they could read upside down and backward, next you knew, stuff (already a substitute for the bad words heidi mentioned) appeared as ffuts. Other words that came about trying not to swear here are the sucky thing (for floors), the hot slidy thing, the sloshy thing and the hot spinny thing for the care of our clothing. we do not kooc, we fling food.
If we have other "secret code" words you do not recognize, let us know. we are not keeping secrets, just have used them so long we sometimes forget new people here do not have a clue what we are talking about.
My wash on the line has not attracted a thunder shower yet. The dew point (a measure of humidity) is really high at 73, that makes atmosphere ripe for thundershowers or storms.

Well that makes perfect sense to me, although I do not think that I am dyslexic, but can learn ;). My MIL, God rest her soul, was the queen of talking backwords. I think she started doing it when her grandchildren were young, kind of like how some parents spell words out. Then it just stuck on, one of my favorites of hers ws do you want an eci maerc enok? But she had loads more! Thanks for the walk down memory lane, my daughters were not fortunate enough to know her, and be showered with her love,I was pregnant with my oldest daughter when she succumbed to cancer. Hubbie and I thought that she would hold on until she was born as she lived for her family. She was one of the most amazing women that I have ever known.

Good Morning to the not here Suzy. Hope the test turns out well for the students. Have you thought of having the students submit questions for their test, as a home work assignment? We had a teacher that did that, and she said students always asked much harder questions than she did. she would then pick a few of students questions to ask on the test.

Hi there all.
I love reading your posts MizT,keep them coming.
Suzy..you have a good day too.
Heidi..what a clever idea to have prescription goggles.Bet that will be expensive.Hope the dogs didn't cause much damage during the storm and that you can get some more sleep today sometime.
I had my hair cut and coloured yesterday. The psoriasis on my face is escalating and I look horrible but feel better now that my hair is done.
It must be caused by the colder weather.
Anyway, hope you all have an enjoyable day.See you later.

Nola... I found the prescription goggles on eBay. All I had to do was e-mail them the prescription. They only cost me $49.99!!!!
That's AU$61.41 only. I couldn't pass up a deal like that, especially as their Buy-It-Now price was $129.00!!!!
