I am tired.
Besides handling the tractor, I did a lot of physical work skinning, etc. My back hurts, as well as my head and a tooth. All I want to do is go to bed, but I still have to make supper for us
, the Collies
and the horses. Tomorrow will be a busy day. We still have to finish the second beef animal (it's dressed and hanging now, but still has to be cut up) at least it's refrigerated... it's hanging outside, 6 feet off the ground, and it's getting down to 38℉ (3.33℃) tonight. I also have to get the Vet here tomorrow, my cleaning help will be here and I have several other chores as well.
I WANNA BE BORED!!!!!

YAY eaa!!!
Meat bees are what we call a European wasp, very nasty things. There was a real plague of them back when I was living in Sth Aus. They go for any scraps or food, so the school had to install new bins with lids because they would hang around the bins, and were very aggressive. They sting repeatedly, not like a bee that can only sting once.
DOH!!!

Good morning lovely people.
eaa - great to see your furry nose around the pages again. And Broni's right, if you come to Qld there's a big welcoming committee here (that goes for everyone else, too).
Rolanda - thinking of you and your Mum tomorrow.
Heidi - I can't see you ever letting yourself get bored.
Tami - good for you, taking a stand in that store!
Hi to Suzanne, Nola, Bean, Gail, Vici and I know I forgot someone, but not intentionally.

eaa, welcome back. It is great to see that furry little nose again. Hope you keep coming by.
Thanks for letting me rant before. The only problem with me not going back to that place is: it is usually a field trip with summer camp. I may have to go back, but I don't have to spend my money there. I can sit and watch my campers.

Hi all.
Vici, was thinking that you were talking about yellow jackets. They act the same way. Getting stung by either one isn't fun.
Tami, don't blame you in the least. Sometimes you have to make a little noise.

Hi everyone!
Haven't been around here for a while (stupid Facebook!)(Oooh, excuse me while I harvest my pumpkins!) I'm glad everyone seems to be going ok, except the ones with flu and similar - take care of yourselves and don't overdo things!
Tomorrow I get my cast off and will see just how horrible my arm looks - and what I can do with it! It will be a shock getting back into all the housework, etc, as I've been very slack - them's the breaks, as they say (arf, arf!)
I've done nothing much lately - can't drive anywhere (Rob has to take me shopping when he gets home) - bored now! We got out in the garden on Saturday - Rob mowed and I chopped up some ferocious rose branches, now everything looks GORgeous! And we have eaten several home-grown zuccini and some snow-peas - ah, the Good Life! :)
And that's about it from our neck of the woods - take care everyone! :)

Judy, our veggie patch has been quite productive too. I have had plenty of snow peas, some sugar snaps and my Mum's favourite, broad beans. They are so different to the frozen variety, sweet and tender. I am about to pull out the snow pea plants, they have managed to get powdery mildew, must have had them too close together, but it is all a learning curve.

Ah well, Gail, we were very excited to get anything edible! It's a bit like magic - you put some bits and pieces in the ground, and a few weeks later you get yummy veggies! We've had vegetable patches before, but these seem to be doing REALLY well - perhaps it's the Bokashi
that we planted them in, or perhaps it's sheer dumb luck! :D

Liz, good you are going for a rest, no more over doing things , not good sweetie. STOP when you begin to feel tired, your job at th e moment is to recover.
ROLANDA, thinking of your Mom, and sending get well wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.
Heidi, are you butchering your own beef? Was in on that once, never again. Mainly cause the people doing it did not know how to butcher, we had some unusual cuts of meat and a LOT of stew meat hehehe.
eea. good to see you pop in again. Hope you can find something for the other half to do. If mine did not have his office in his shop, for the days he is not working, I wold be hunting some thing to keep ME out of the house part of every day. there is such a thing as too much togetherness. Retirement is different from working together, just not a lot of outside contact when retired, unless you make it happen.
Bokashi? What is it?
We had a very busy and nice long weekend. this comming week will be busy again. Must get eyeglasses adjusted, have a doc appointment, and want to go shopping and to lunch with my sister. RAIN forecast today and again Wednesday, hope the roads do not get too big a mess again, YUCK. When we inquired about getting roads graded again, we were told it is done on a rotating schedule, and as ours had just been done before the storm, it will be some time fore they get to us again. Many other roads are a mess also. Aagghhhhhhhhhh! They have dried out now, just left huge potholes. this road is very shaded, all day, and trying to SEE the potholes in the dappled shade is a challenge.
Did I say we have our outside C decorations done and I got the tree inside up and decorated? Now we just need packages under it, but first I must shop for something to put IN the packages hehe.
OK I am off to make coffee, hugs to all,
