June, I hope Ken is okay this morning and agrees to head off to the doc if there is no improvement.

Tip Tap is sick. Last night when we let him out of his cage for his nightly fly - he couldn't! He would try to fly to one of his perches and land on the floor. And he had lost his voice. Have you ever heard a budgie with no voice try to chirp? So sad! I took him in to say goodnight to the girls - a sometimes tradition, just in case. This morning I gingerly lifted the cover of his cage to see how he was. He was sitting on his perch, a little more energetic than he was last night, but still no voice. Poor Tip Tap!!

Water repaired, the sun is shining, all is good.

OH SUZY, that "just in case" almost broke my heart. Brought to mind how totally devastated my youngest sister was when her parakeet died. I hope TipTap continues to improve.

MizT, glad to hear your drip is fixed. Now if you could just send Al over here to fix mine...

June, I make tiny sausage rolls too. The woman who gave me the recipe does not use many spices and I want to experiment to see if I can 'improve' them a little. What do you use?

A juvenile male bower bird just came down to steal the dog food - saw me and took off again! Now why won't the myna's do that?

It's sad MizT, and we won't be the only ones sad if something happens to him. He is a favourite among visitors as he is let out to 'meet' them.

Back from hauling hay and feeding cows. They're happy.
I forgot to mention a surprise I got when feeding sheep last night. Another newborn lamb... a flashy black and white spotted female. Big one, too.

The Vet didn't get a chance to examine the cow. The dead wagon came quickly. I'm 99% sure it was a heart attack. It was too sudden for almost anything else. I will discuss it with the Vet, though.

Three is still a young bird. Have you called a Vet? What we used to do when I was a kid was call the local Zoo, and talk to their Vet. They know a lot about birds.
