Happy Australia Day to the DUGs! Oh, my, I think I might be able to get through the accent, but the slang has me completely baffled!

It's nearly 12:30 am here, and I have an early morning, so I'm off to bed. We'll be helping with grandies for the next week or so. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to pop in. If you're currently healthy, stay healthy! If you're not, please get healthy! Happy Birthday and Anniversary to anyone who will be celebrating during the next week or so.

I don't think I've heard of any page parties recently, but would like to request that there not be one on my page. IF I can get to the computer during the next week, it won't be frequently or for very long, so me email inbox would be swamped. Thanks!

When I came on earlier I meant to give my sympathies to Stella's brother for all the trouble his ex has caused. We have had a similar situation happen to my hubby's brother a few years ago. Too long and drawn out to explain but will never be resolved properly unless his daughter, now 13 decides to find out for herself if Daddy is this awful man she's had instilled into her psyche since she was 3 or if he is indeed the loving father who has missed her every day since. She has a 3yo half-sister that she doesn't know about. The extended family have their collective fingers crossed - when she's 16 she's free to find him.

Hot and steamy today - severe thunderstorm coming but looks like we'll miss the worst of it.
As long as we get a cool night and nobody gets severe damage.

Oh well - I've procrastinated for an hour, nobody is about so I suppose I must go into the K room and fling - Salmon steaks with cracked pepper, mashy baked taters, baked balsamic tomatoes and green salad - with a nice dry white, I think. And all cooked (except for the salad) in the oven in 30 minutes - easy peasy.

Drat and blast! I go off to see Gail's beautiful drawings and miss you Cyn...

Saw the severe weather warning for Queensland Cyn. Glad it's going to miss you..

Our temperature has dropped about 15C since 4 o'clock. It's bliss!! Thinking about putting a cardy on....

Not to worry Suzy, I haven't gone anywhere - Hubby says he's not hungry just yet and I flitted off to gail's page as well!!

Ally was practicing her songs in her room today - ready for her 20 minutes in a couple of weeks... I actually asked her teacher if she really thought she was going to be ready because she sounded so awful!! Going for projection and it came out yelling.... I was reassured...
