Had a great time at the Abba Mania concert with Hayley. At the last minute, hubby decided to come with us (he went to the casino instead of the show) and weren't we lucky. On the way home we hit a storm so heavy and so windy that even he thought we should stop at the side of the road. As we were talking about doing that, two semi-trailers came flying up and passed us on either side like we were standing still - scared me so much that if I was driving, I think I would have lost control. Colin couldn't see a thing until the mist from their tyres subsided.

Not all of them, Heidi, but there are some cowboys out there giving the rest a bad name. Speed limit was 110kph but we were doing about 70kph due to poor visibility. They were at or over the limit. SCARY!!

Back from having coffee with friends... luverly as always - though the air conditioner gave us a shower (couldn't cope with the humidity!)...

I don't like driving in Foxground on the way home from Steak and Kidney - the trucks make me aggro, sit right on your date all the way down! Bunch of drongos. I reckon they're a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

I think we'll celebrate Australia Day with a barbie - stuff our cake holes with bangers.

Ok, should enter into the spirit of things here, so I'll say:

Heidi - Timtams are a chocolate coated biscuit sandwich (cookies to you)best eaten when dipped in coffee and used as a straw to suck up the coffee. Messy but YUMMY!!

Crazy country isn't it! I'm just about to put on a cardi while the rest of you are sweltering! Hubby told me the forecast for the next week...today bl**dy freezing, the rest of the week, every day over 35C rising to 39C by the end of the week!!!

Your weather there sounds familiar. MizT was saying that it was so warm today that she opened her windows, yet only a couple of days ago her water pipes froze.

I'd better feed my dogs soon. One of these days I want to go to bed before midnight.
