Hubby phoned the dish TV people yesterday, some problem with the bill. They could not give a refund, so he got 6 months of free movies. Would have rather had $$$ myself, but they did do a reduction in bill for the future. Now with about 20 movie channels, well 10 of them are encore, older movies, we might find something to watch on the bad TV nights.

Good morning all! Rainy, dreary day here after almost a week of beautiful weather. Hubby mowed the lawn and it is back to being orange again in one day! We have so many pine needles that you can't even see the grass!

You guys chat so much I won't have time to catch up! I did see Bean's post on the boxes. Bean, we are kindred spirits. I do the same thing. My boxes are in the basement, attic and dining room. I am trying to get things organized, but it is an extremely slow process!

I'm supposed to go to physical therapy for my shoulder and butt, but they both hurt too much at the moment. I'm afraid that it will just make it worse.

Need some tea and breakfast to get me moving this morning. Hope to catch you later.

LOL at your post Stella...no wonder I feel so AT HOME amongst all of the SA'ers....we have a lot of kindred spirits. I'm giggling at the thought of us all dragging out our boxes and sweeping all of our junk into them. I have noticed that I am using a lot more boxes since discovering SA.

Broni and Liz, hope your tests come back ok. Had it done a few years back and stayed awake with no meds for the whole thing. The doctor offered and I said nope, don't do well with any kind of sedative. Didn't have any pain at all.
Agree with Rolanda, it's better to know than not.

Stella, if you tell the therapists everything about your pain, I'm sure they'll be able to help. The first couple of sessions might be uncomfortable, but you'll heal faster.

Bean, the reason why I started going thru the boxes was because hubby started grumping about all the "stuff." Have to admit that I've been falling back into my old habits.
I'll admit it, I'm a bit of a packrat. I've given away and thrown stuff out, but it seems like other stuff comes in to take its place. Then there's things that have sentimental value that I refuse to get rid of just yet.
Figured us on here can't be as bad as one of my neighbors. She has things stacked from floor to ceiling (even in her basement). Just has paths to move thru the house.
Congrats to Lachie. Sounds like his was a rousing success.

MizT, I "sort" the mail when I bring it in. Junk gets thrown into the recycler, bills go into a basket and other stuff into a box that gets sorted when I get the urge.

June, I have old Christmas cards also. I used to paint and got ideas from them. Don't know when that'll ever happen again.
Be careful climbing around up there, can't have on the injured list.

Julie, been there. My sister, brother and I had to go thru our parents' house. Brought back a lot of memories.

Ruby, was wondering where you've been. I used to do that with books, but now just go to the library (only 2 blocks away).

Mariana, watched the debate. I was called the other day by CNN to participate in an opinion survey during the debate. Was told that I would have to go somewhere in downtown Columbus, alone and at night. Politely declined.

Would love to meet the person who invented the mute button for the tv. I've gotten pretty quick hitting it when any political ad comes on.

Need to go the grocery and just can't seem to get it into gear. Stuck in neutral. I'll give it one more try.

All...... slept in late, and feel well rested. Now for brekky....
It's raining nicely out, VERY much needed too. All the grass is brown and crunchy, and the creek is bone dry. We still have enough time before winter sets in to have a little grass growth. Cattle will like that. But that means that I will need to mow the lawn again.

One whole hour since my last post. Is this place dead???

My hypochondriac IH just got back from his doctor's. He has the insane idea that he has Mono, because he's been a little sweaty. He isn't sleepier than normal, but I can't convince him that it ISN'T Mono. The blood test that he had run should convince him.

I'm enjoying this nice, wet day. I love quiet days like this.

June.... every time I think I'm gaining on you, you have another spurt ahead. How DO you get so many TOPPs?

I had 3 more cats added to the collection yesterday. The tire guy gave me 3 of his that he needed to find homes for. A mama cat, a 5 month old con of hers and a 6 week old daughter of hers. Now I get to have them all neutered soon.

Somebody stop me!
Maybe I'll go do some puzzles, and be back in a little bit.
