A bush hog is kinda like a lawn mower on steroids. It'll mow tree trunks up to 3 inches across.

IH was told to get the oil replaced last month. He was too cheap to, so he called a used equipment place, and told them that he needed a particular part. But IH knows nothing about mechanical stuff, and refused to listen to me. He fixed the wrong thing, and badly. The problem was that it was out of oil. Only. Now it's torn up inside, and may end up costing

So sorry to hear that, Heidi! And so frustrating for you - to know what needed to be done but be too sick to do it yourself. I'm thinking I should never complain about my hubby again.

Do you think that it bothers IH (and threatens his masculinity) that you know and can do so much of the "mechanical" stuff?

How can it threaten him? Every time there is something to be done, he says "I don't know HOW to do it." I say "Think of it as an opportunity to learn." He responds that it's too hard and either doesn't do it, or breaks it completely.

Stella, I drive my kids somewhere for sport or some other activity a lot, but I don't think I'm dedicated enough to drive as far as Brendan's games - at least not as often as you do!
That's as close as I can get to a soccer mom medal for now!

MizT, I have the same problem with the computer and SA6!
Mariana, yesterday d2 asked me if driving is fun. I said 'for some people'. Didn't really want to say that driving her all over town is not my idea of fun!!

Note my aussie pumpkin? Last year we couldn't find a pumpkin to carve anywhere and had to improvise! I haven't noticed any around this year either so we might be doing the same thing again!!

A Dutch court has convicted two youths of theft for stealing virtual items in a computer game and sentenced them to community service.
Only a handful of such cases have been heard in the world, and they have reached varying conclusions about the legal status of "virtual goods."
The Leeuwarden District Court said the culprits, 15 and 14 years old, coerced a 13-year-old boy into transferring a "virtual amulet and a virtual mask" from the online adventure game RuneScape to their game accounts.
"These virtual goods are goods (under Dutch law), so this is theft," the court said Tuesday in a summary of its ruling.
Identities of the minors were not released.
The 15-year-old was sentenced to 200 hours service, and the 14-year-old to 160 hours.

So does this mean when someone steals someone else's smilies they could be arrested?

I'm hoping we can have a real jack-o-lantern this year, but the stores I go to don't have anything yet. I will have to look around, but we may be using a watermelon again!
