Great TOPP Stella. Hope the crisis is solved, and the boys games go well . Good to have so much Christmas shopping out of the way.

Suzy, I tried eBay for wiffle balls, and only got US sellers. I then searched training balls baseball and found packets of 6 white ones for $11.99 + $5.50 postage labelled whiffle balls. There were only 2 items, both in Brisbane, postage possibly higher to NSW. There's also packets of 3 yellow or white ones for $9.45.

And Suzy, if you ever want to move to Queensland, as a high school Maths (and Science) teacher, you'd get a job as soon as you called Education Queensland I think. My civil engineer uncle hated engineering, and did it for only a couple of years, then went into farming. 20 to 30 years later, when times were tough on the farm, he got an engineering job to tide him over for a while. He had no problem getting a job or doing the work, but again left as soon as he could. I bet you'd still have what it takes, but 60 hours a week would be like having 3 jobs with a family to look after.

I'm off to bed, have to work today. Groan. But at least it's going to be a very easy day. The kids have swimming, with the instructors doing the work and me watching from the shade. I'll be spending only 2.5 hours in the classroom.

All. I'll read back posts later. I've only got a minute or two while waiting for the electrician. He's working on another part of the farm, repairing an electrical auger for one of the feed bins. He'll come to the house when he's done to repair a line I cut through accidentally.

Don't worry abut the Mukade.
It's only for Halloween.
I wouldn't eat one.
They are horrendous creatures.

Rayray.... That Mukade is really neat. 9 inches long? With attitude? Really cool to look at, but I wouldn't want to meet one unawares.

I'm gonna go do a few puzzles. The electrician was just here, but he didn't have the right materials, so he left to get the right ones, and to get lunch. I'm expecting him back in about 45 minutes.

Be more careful girl!
Glad it will be an easy day Susan.
Hi Mariana, pleased you were able to drop by. And Ray, always happy to see you come and join us for a chat. I do not think I am too keen on scorpians. Either alive or the ones they eat in China!

Heidi:
I wonder if that is really how your Cat would react to the Mukade. It would be better off not to touch it. You almost need a sledge hammer to kill them. One person has said "they are effectively immortal".

I used to use jerry-rigged blow torches on Tarantulas that were in the house. You know... aerosol can and cigarette lighter.

I'll have to leave in about 5 minutes to get in the shower. The vampire place opens at 7.30 but if I get there at 7 I'll only be 3rd or 4th in line. Vewy noice when you want to get home to have a cup of coffee!

It's okay to mention breakfast. I'm not a big breakfast eater! But don't tell my kids, I always tell them i ate before they got up.... Now if you bragged about a steaming cup of coffee, that would be cruel!

These days it's good to hear about any animal still doing it's usual thing. I keep hearing stories about fish in particular not being where they should be in the numbers they are usually. Huh? Oh, well you know what I mean!
