Got hold of my postmaster (Mike).... great guy..... he's calling Louisville to have them manually look for the critters there, then letting me know their whereabouts.

HEIDI, I hope you find your critters! Not nice of them to loose live animals!

I will have to ask hubby about what is wrong with vista, and I am sure once he tells me I still will not understand hehehe. I will try to get back to you on this.

Just got back from voting.... literally next door... and still no word on the critters. This is FRUSTRATING!!!

Morning Heidi. I also just got back from voting. Mine is aroung the corner and I had a 2 hour wait. That was better than the 4-6 hours that were the norm during the early voting period.

MizT, I am also a member of freecycle. I have gotten a lot of useful things for my classroom and school. People have chosen me since is was for a school over other people.

I had a 30 second wait. Small town/ rural.

I really hope that all those people in line were voting for Obama.

IH voted for McCain. He also thinks that Bush has done a good job. NOW does everybody understand where the "IDIOT" comes in????

Right about now, I'm kind of glad I don't live near you all. I actually like helping others clean out their stuff, more interesting than mine. But then, you guys would "have" to help me.

Susan, belated to your hubby. BTW, you didn't mention what hubby dressed as for the party.
Hope you and MizT don't mind me butting in about Vista. There are 3 reasons why I uninstalled it from my laptop. 1) The original problem with it was a lot of security holes. People were spending a lot of time downloading and installing patches. 2) You can't pick and choose which programs you want to keep. It's all or nothing which uses up a lot of memory. 3) Even when it's not in use, it runs in the background. The first time I tried to get onto the internet, it took it about 5 minutes to bring up IE, then sat there and grinded away. Shut it down, asked hubby to get our copy of XP and have been happy since.

MizT, hope you get that light problem fixed.

Gail, glad to hear that your mom's tests came out ok and that she's on the nurse's list. Takes a little of the worry off your shoulders.

Brenda, happy to hear that Celia is out of the hospital. Bet that she's more so. I'm sure that's a load off your mind, plus getting the bathrooms finished is another plus.

Ruby, I kept my last pair of peepers to wear around the house. The new pair get worn away from the house as they darken in the sunlight (hanged if I can remember what it's called).

Well, time for me to head off and move the wet clothes to the other machine.

I KIND OF found them. The people shipping them were supposed to ship them overnight, but instead shipped them 2 day. It's a LOT more stressful on them.

An empty house! Well, empty of people other than me anyway...

Hubby has had the night from hell. He went to TAFE last night and took his thumb drive with him. At the end of class he did the 'safely remove hardware' thing, as you do, and forgot to take the drive with him! He has 4 months of work on a couple of projects on the drive - not backed up!!! Thumb drives last at most 6 months in this house so I don't know what he was thinking!!! Class finishes around 9 and he gets home after 10 - who can you contact after 10 at night to find out if it's there??? So out of bed around 5.30 this morning, and took off to work. Sent emails then drove over an hour each way to pick it up - yes, he found it - I wonder if it's backup up now???

WHAT is a "Thumb drive"???????

memory stick?? those things you stick into a USB drive on your computer that you use instead of discs to move info from one computer to another..
