Stella - I think I would kill my hubby if he did that and didn't tell me! (Switch the internet around thing I mean).
Why is Brendan not playing as much as he'd like?

eaa, good for you, making it here to report in. Sorry to hear you have used up your time, Sept 26 is a bit away still.
We had missed your furry little nose
Sorry I was not here to greet you. I was being a good patient, I was taking a nap. It seems naps are still more a necessity than a luxury.
Suzy, MizT also knows from experience what doing too much too soon after surgery can do to one, she was young and stuborn once and thought the world would stop if she did. hehehe

Suzy, thanks for asking Stella that , I had wondered myself!
How is Ebob? Hope she is improving. See if you can give her something with vitamin C, that is the healing vitamin, did I say that before? sounds familiar.

SUZY, I have a better method of keeping up with "clean" or "dirty" that is automatic. I put a cup in one corner of the top rack, upright. If it has water in it, the dishwasher has been run. Huby cannnot keep that straight either. Learned helpless ness hehehe.

MzT... IH has a lot of cousins in Ohio, and they were sending us updates via Blackberry throughout the storm. They said the destruction in southern Ohio was awful, large trees and buildings down. The figures that you heard sound about the same as I heard. If course, I haven't read today's paper yet.
I'm having problems posting, but it's more on east than anywhere else. I get a message that it's timed out because the server is too busy.
Mama, if you're thinking of getting a new computer, I highly recommend an iMac. Besides being VERY user friendly, they don't get viruses, and they take up much less space. EVERYTHING is in a 3 inch thick monitor: speakers, camera and the entire tower. Super easy to use. I adore mine.

My friend in Ohio has 5 children at home. she gave each one a wind up flashlight, and they were totally enjoying themselves. Guess having thier own kid powered light gave them a bit of control in a scarry situation.
I had done the same once when I had a neighbor's children here during a storm. Dad was very late comming home, a truck driver and he was mandated to pull to side of road when winds got to a certain speed. Mom was working nights. Power was out and wind high. both kids unnerved by it. Gave the 8 year old boy the "shake it up" flashlight, he kept it charged for us till his Dad got home hehehe.

I think everybody , especially kids, like to have some control over any scary situation. I was visiting some neighbors years ago, and their 5 year old son had recently decided that there were monsters hiding under his bed, waiting to grab him, so he refused to go to bed. He did not believe his parents when they said that there were no monsters. So I told him that the reason that the monsters were hiding was that they were more afraid of him than he was of them. We spent the next 30 minutes sneaking quietly up to his room, flinging open the door and shouting "Boo". Then we'd turn the lights on and... No monsters! After a while, he decided that we had scared the monsters so much, that they would HAVE to move out of his house. His parents told me later that he was never afraid of monsters again.

my henry(6) is afraid to go downstairs. his room is down there so this poses a bit of a problem. someone always has to be with him. he doesn't know what he is afraid of so i can't fix it! in the new house before we poured the foundation and floors, i got a big bag of plastic confetti hearts. i had the kids throw them all over so we could say (now this is cheesy) that our house is built on love. i am hoping no one will be scared of the basement when we move in.

Morning rush on here. Heidi, what a great idea! We said they were friendly monsters and they became Ebob's best/imaginary friends. One day we were driving down a freeway and she was crying unconsolably because she just knew that if we would point the car in the right direction we could get to the magic castle they lived in! Scaring them away might have worked better?

She was only 2 at the time and they were her friends for at least 2 years... She invented all kinds of stories about them.
Gotta go and do stuff, including calling the school. Hope to be back later..
Mariana, I feel for Henry. Hope the new house helps...

eaa! eaa! you must find time (11 pm to 7 am?) to come out and play!
So I too am worried about Broni (and I'll mind my own business if I'm told to, but I am pretty good with prayer!)
Also, where the heck is our Jelly Bean? I haven't seen her in awhile. Did I miss some holiday news?
Good to see Stella and Mama and LOVE that MzT is up and on the puter so much!

Not today Vici, though I should. You should see the pile they delivered last night!! Against my better judgement I'm going to try to deliver them in one day. I will definitely need a foot soak afterwards, and something for my shoulders too!

Everybody, you can stop worrying about Broni, she is fine. I spoke to her last night and she was giving me as much lip as usual!
As I said, she can tell you as much as she wants when she gets back, which should should be tomorrow sometime.
She said to pass on her thanks for thinking of her.

I have something to do this morning and it is not a pleasant task. Will tell you after the deed is done. Can't talk about it yet or I'll end up a blithering mess.
I need a hug.
