Morning Friends of Sudoluland. Thanks for all the well wishes this morning. Tricia progress report follows, you may scroll by if you wish.

I slept in a bit, but woke feeling so much better! Hubby's tummy bug laid him low much longer than it did me! Woman power, we do not have time to be sick!

Today I must get started on a book, I am seeing to many things that need doing! I am aiming for Friday, when I go back to doc. If he says I am good to go, will get back at STUFF!

Hubby must empty dishwasher again. It waited unattended all yesterday. He even asked if I had run it (have told him 3 times) when he could not find a clean spoon in the drawer! Still he did not think, OH, dishwasher needs emptying. He thinks if he waits long enough, I will do it. He thinks wrong!

He did make me dinner last night, made instant potatoes to go with the take away roasted chicken and veggies that were in the fridge hehe, but he warmed it, served it up and brought to me where I was in my recliner with feet up.

No pain meds , just tylenol since yesterday morning!

JUNE, lovely avatar, and I had forgotten about it myself, so I was not sitting here wondering where it was hehehe, I think I know two people who had more important things going than avatars! I see it stored nicely and is no worse for wear! Enjoy and happy you like it. Thanks for the nice comments ladies. I have fun doing these.

SUZY, so happy you got a diagnosis and medication, Pneumonia hopefully will respond nicely to antibiotics. Hope you can keep her resting till her strength returns. Perhaps you can remind her how tired she felt once she returned from doc, and remind her school will be longer than that! Hope you can get your belly bursters in the car, and delivered. you are a more determined person than I am, keeping up with that!

Ruby, your wit just tickles my funny bone. good thing laughing does not hurt, got some good laughs reading some of the posts. Don't think you have to worry about Heidi, she can take as good as she can give, and she loves to rattle a few chains herself.

JUNE, happy that Sharon is home and on the antibiotics she needs. I hope you did not think I am against antibiotic use, from my soap box speach earlier. I am just against the over use of them, preventative use of them, so they will be available and effective when someone like Sharon and Ebob needs them !

OH MY a long wait for next available surgery for the girl. I can see why you did not want to cancel it. Hope all goes well till time for that surgery. and YES, I saw the thank you pages back, I read a bit to try to catch up before posting, and missed everyone. When will I learn to check first??

Hubby awake, myst remind him AGAIN about dishwasher emptying. I do need to put dirties in, and yes, I can do that, one dish at a time. It is not like having to deal with stacks of clean plates and bowls. Hubby has a phobia about loading the dishwasher, cause once he was helping me and I MOVED SOMETHING HE PUT IN!

Heidi, do you think he qualifies as a junior IH, notated ih? hehehe Or is there method in his madness, a way to justify never putting a dish into the machine again??

good morning friends.
i'm so glad laura's surgery got postponed. this way her mom can take care of her, and even though grandmas are amazing, sometimes a girl just needs her mommy.
you are a living example of how to heal up quick. obey dr.s orders and be up and kicking in no time. two of my brothers are dr.s and they love compliant patients! i'll bet your doc loves you mizt!

Mariana, my current docs tolerate me, and get a puzzeled look on thier face occasionally, cause I do such unusual things. BUT I found a doc who believes me, and listens to me, and thinks of me as a challenge to his skills, a puzzle he is going to solve. this man takes home his new patients charts and histories and reads them evenings. I think he is a Dr House who loves patients! He has done more to improve my life in 3 months than other docs have done in YEARS!

I keep finding people in the hospital who say, He is my doc. About the best recomendation you can get, when nurses and staff who see and know all the docs choose him!

Mariana, sorry to hear hubby cannot be home every weekend, but I know how hard it is to turn down that kind of $$$$$. Good for you to hire a toutor, and could you hire a bit of help for YOU to take some of the stress off? A sitter so you can go out (even if one of the older children) or someone to clean, or whatever is your worse nightmare? with some quality time for yourself, might make the seperation a bit easier on you, and leave you less frazzeled for the one day hubby is home.

the older kids do tend fairly often as i drive one kid here or there. i don't like for them to do it too much though as they are not responsible to take on my load and ad to their stress. i tried to hire someone to do some cleaning for me, but they didn't do a good enough job. plus cleaning is good exercise. i do have a break during the day as i just have the little one home. she is pretty easy and we go do fun stuff. mostly i just miss my hubby.

that is how i found my ob mizt. i went to the hospital and asked the nurses and staff who their favorite doc. was. i found a great one who didn't take silly stuff too seriously. i don't like making a mountain out of a molehill. save the drama for someone else who wants it!

Oh how I wish I had time to catch up on all the posting that has been going on here, but I must go out and paint again today.
(hello MzT and Mariana - sorry, how rude of me!)
Today I will be painting the final coat in the garage and we might have our automatic garage door opener up by later this week! It's a far cry from the 6 panels of sheathing we use to have to place over the garage door opening every evening.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well or on the mend! My internet has been down, but I found out last night that it really hasn't been down, hubby just switched something when he was working on his mom's computer. My inlaws stayed in Brendan's room in the basement and had full access to the internet unbeknownst to me! They just left this morning to go back to North Carolina. We took them to Boston on Saturday to see Meghan at Boston College and Bryana at St. Mark's. That was their first time seeing them at school and they enjoyed the trip, although it was a very long day! They even got to see Bryana play soccer and she scored a goal. Brendan didn't get to play with his team on Saturday so any prayers or thoughts his way would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all of the well wishes for our anniversary. We ended up driving down to New Jersey to see Brendan play soccer (so far his only game and it's very frustrating for him) and we stopped at a little restaurant along the way which turned out to be a nice choice.

Vici, I too must paint. My father-in-law fixed some of the siding that had gotten destroyed in a winter storm, so it has to be painted. Hubby doesn't think I can do it with my "dislocated" left shoulder and ripped right glute muscle, but it has to be done!

Question for Sudoluland. has anyone read, seen reports of a windstorm in OHIO? A couple of quilting buddy friends live there and managed to "get a message out" about a storm and power out to half a million. One of them phoned me and even her cell phone was not cooperating for long.

I have not seen one thing about it on our news, or on news feeds on computer. I cannot google it, finding old storm reports. I need a link to a Ohio TV or Newspaper if anyone has such. thanks

Stella, good to see you back with us also, and we all are expericing problems on the board. I made SA6 page hoping to ease some of the problems, but they moved over here with us, it seems!

I know you will be glad to have your computer back, you have been a long time without. So are all the kiddie winks back at school now? Do catch us up on thier summers, a What did my kids do this summer report, please. Did you have any storms as this system moved on north?

I just read, problem in midwest was from a PACIDIC storm, Lowel, joing with an Atlantic Storm, Ike, along a cold front. One of my favorite weather blogs had a report, and reports power out to 1.3 million in mid west. Guess the crews they sent to the GULF will be called back home. Boy this is going to tax the resorces of the power and phone companies to get infastructure back up and running, scarry.
