Well, guess it was not meant to be for me to start out first after the move. The page comes up - offers me to be the first to post and then my attempts show up on page 157. Gath must have figured we needed new digs for the upcoming party - there will be lots of quick pages tomorrow!

I am not having a good day. I took my rooster up to the Fairgrounds, only to have the Vet there find Mites on him -just a few- but enough to keep him from being admitted. I still am able to give him a flea and tick bath and get him back there (1 hour drive each way) by 10 pm tonight. BUT......
The water has just gone out again!!! Less than a week after replacing the well pump, the water lines and the electrical lines. I now have to wait for the plumber to return. No water means no bath for the rooster (I refuse to use much needed drinking water, since we may be without for days again), and I can't leave here until the plumber is done. My idiot husband is out of town again. He's always gone when there's a problem.

OH HEIDI, I am soo sorry your water is gone again! Did that plumber give you at least a week guarantee ?? I hope you can soon have it fixed!

and bummer about not getting the chickie back to the fair. Can you get some pond water (or so some critters rely on tht for drinking?) to bathe him, and have him ready? Then I am assuming plumber is not comming after 8 pm is he? barely time to get back before the deadline? It sounds good on paper at least heheh.

Maybe this is just not the year for your chickie to be in the fair, we never know why things happen you know. Hope your day gets better from here out.

What is this about SA6? I do not see anything when I sign on from my bookmarked link, just same ole SA5 as always. Strange!

Now last week I was getting the "be first to post" message , some glitch in the program that we get occasionally, but it was still SA5 page. Usually if Gath were closing an edition of this page, he would come in with a message that he was closing it, and a link to the new page.

MzT - he did have a message at the top of this page for a brief time that said he was trying to get it up...might take a few minutes...that was quite a while ago. I imagine he's sleeping right now.

Heidi - how my heart goes out to you! My hubby and I say we are "wrestling alligators" to describe those kind of days or we say we're "Salmon"...you know, swimming up stream?

That had me confused, too. I thought I had missed the announcement, so I was reading backwards, trying to find it. I think someone assumed that it was changing when they got the "first to post" message. I have list count of the number of times I've gotten it in the last 10 days.

Heidi - there was actually a new page inviting to be the first to post, with an announcement of the move...but when you would post, back to square 1 (or square 157)...then after that, a message at the top of 157 in orange from Gath saying it should be up in a few minutes...then...well, you see where we are, that was several hours ago.

hello, hello! just a quick breeze through. trying to secure orders on plumbing fixtures and doors. kid off for before school dr. check-ups, hair cuts, registration, pictures, shopping etc. a lot of work for all when school starts up again! husband is coming home for the weekend!!!! i've got to plan yummy food and try to get everything on the schedual taken care of so we can do fun stuff and relax!

I've had fun reading the pages I missed last night. Sorry I missed them, it sounded like fun, but Ebob is now on her way to Sydney and all is well. A trip to the big smoke is good for kiddies! Time now to start the routine with Ally....

GOOD NEWS, results of the BE is all clear, no polyps in the area they had not seen, just that little thing they found at the colonoscoopy to deal with, and I see the doc Monday on that. I might get through all this yet! So I am celebrating all the good news I have gotten lately, come party time!

Suzy - sounds like a fun trip for Ebob. Which reminds me...(names, that is) when my step-daughter was in Brisbane for a semester of school during her Sophomore year in college the aussie kids called her "sepi-Ali". She told us it was kinda derrogatory, but was said with affection from her friends.

Vici - I'm kinda thick and don't get the sepi-Ali name...

Oh, I re-read and get it now - Septic Tank.... It can be derogatory, but also just another example of rhyming slang. I find that people who use it affectionately are unconsciously (?) being a little condescending. Perhaps not so with the younger generation....

Suzy - I was pretty impressed with your walking the other day - how often will you be making those deliveries?

BTW - I'm resting on my chaise cause I'm pooped from my holiday at my brother's! Plus, I need to rest up for tomorrow's festivities. Been shopping and submitting all afternoon. How cool is it to buy real diamond tiaras!!!

I thought it was going to be twice a week, but I will have walked Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday (yes, going again today) and one day on the weekend... I have a call in to them to ask why the dates on the forms don't match the ones they told me, but no answer as yet... Today should be quicker though as there are fewer pamphlets and I should be able to carry more before having to fill up again. Three days a week is probably better for my fitness level, but my legs are not getting enough time to recover in between!!

Any more tests, well there is a Glucose tolerance test that had to be canceled when I was unwell, and I think he wants a sleep study, and I need to see a GYN. HOPE that will be all.

Could be...it almost felt like he was frustrated with all the posting I was doing and zigging and zagging back and forth between the old and new homes. So I stopped trying for awhile - came back and everything was as it was. Maybe I was hallucinating - wouldn't be that surprised!

My gosh, MzT - if I didn't know better, I'd think you had a thing for these docs!!!

Sooz - if you have to the 4 1/2 hour route of walking 3 times a week, well, that sounds like a whole heck of a lot!!!

I'm hoping today will be quicker and lighter, my legs couldn't bear it otherwise! And on the weekend the girls are begging me to let them help, which should cut it down a little. Except that Ally wants to come this time, which could make it slower. I may be overprotective, but I think she is a little young to walk and carry on her own. We'll see how it goes...
