Heidi - if I was feeding animals from midnight until 2, after spending the evening attending to sick animals, I think I'd sleep the day away too...

MizT - you are so strong! To have a possible 2 weeks off doc visits and so scheduling a test for yourself... It is a great thing that you are like that - you and your doc that is!!!!!!

Now what did I miss????

Dinner was loverly last night. I had chicken and avocado, hubby had scotch fillet with pepper sauce, a noice bottle of wine, great service... And I didn't fall asleep on the table! I did fall asleep on the lounge at home though..

Suzy, at least you were at home.

I got my new toy and it is all hooked up. I can now access info on my hard drive. I am a happy camper.

Hi Suzy, MizT and Rena - I'm glad you or Gath finally worked out that this glitch usually happens around 2AM Sudoku time. I would read your posts and think, well it doesn't happen to me. Now we know why - I'm well and truly asleep at that time of day. I did lose one post a couple of days ago - not sure what that was about.

Suzy, pleased your dinner went well last night and that you didn't go to sleep during it!!

RENA, yeah for the new toy, whtever it is, if it makes you happy I am happy for you!

SUZY, just want to get to the end of the testing, and this was ordered over a month ago, time to get it done and behind me. I am really a wimp, only 2 tests or appointments a week at the most for me. I might be like Heidi if I did more than that, sleep the day away! Or several days even.

Yes, most thankful he insisted on that colonoscopy, even though it was the one test I did not really want to do. glad I went along and did it.

I'm not much of a beach person these days. I have always burnt easily and am paying for it now. Unfortunately that means my girls don't get to see as much of the beach as they'd like...

I didn't want to say it because the last time I did I jinxed myself but here goes....

I rarely get the timed out or first to post messages, but I have had them, and I am never here at 2 in the morning...

Time to fling food here, planned over baked fish. I baked 2 different packets, using different seasoning, spices, maranaide for each Packet. Not have to heat the oven again this way. I must see to the veggies and the salad. Salad will be simple lettuce and a lot of tomato, as I bought a big bag of them yesterday. Might have some vidalia sweet onion, and a bit of thousand island dressing, huumm, that sounds tasty and cool.

It is hard to remember how we managed cooking without a microwave, you know?

Cyn, did you post your official retirement date on the previous pages? It takes me ages to go back to check and I'm feeling lazy today...

I submit comment, the little bar goes blue to about 1/3 the way across, and it freezes, nothing. I have to close the page, and open again, and find the comment did go through. Grimlins have returned??

MizT, I am trying to add variety to the page by changing my avatar! When I get broadband I will probably become a supporting member - my connection is too slow to use most of the features at the mo.

Need to fill my cup again! For some reason I'm not feeling very energetic this morning??

No, Suzy, still do not have an 'official' retirement day, It is supposed to be Tuesday 26/8 now but until I get it officially from my solicitors, I'm not believing anything!

Hi Gail - how's things with your daughter and her friend?

That went through very quickly. Fingers crossed it was just a minor glitch MizT. I have noticed a few troubles around the pages. When loading them this morning, my page would not finish loading and neither would the clips page!

MizT, any more news from your daughter? Sending lots of thoughts and wishes that the joker soon becomes the joked...

Sorry I have not been here of late to fill you in. Last night there was a threeway conflict at about 8.30 my time, which did absolutely no good for the headache I had...again! Putting it down to a stress headache, gone now, but we shall see. I ended up going straight to bed at 8.30 last night and almost slept right through, so hopefully all will be well.

Hi Cyn, Suzy and MizT if you are still here. Have not read back so don't know what your news is MizT. Will catch up later. Of course, I am not here, but D#3 has a dental appt at 10.15 and is still not ready, not enough time to get involved in ewewewew...housework! Sorry, there I said it!

In answer to your question, the last two nights that I ghave picked the girls up from school, they have been in very high spirits. I think subconsciously they are relieved that we have become involved. At this stage, there has been no more cyber bullying and they say that everything is ok at school. I am still picking the friend up in the mornings and afternoons, which means she does not have to catch the school bus, which is where the girls started their entrapment on Monday night.

I have tonnes of STUFF that I should do today, and I will get at least some of it done, probably....

The upshot of it is, we were in with the councillor on Tuesday for an hour, and she took down every detail minutely. The girls were offered a safe haven in the staff area for the recess/lunch times, but said they didn't use it because they felt alright about everything.
Separately, the bank also rang up the school on Tuesday to put in their complaint and they were able to name names as well.

I'd want to get on that bus with them Gail - stare them down and DARE them to do anything else!!!! Not that it would help, but I might feel better.

The teacher I spoke to gave me a bit of interesting info (that she admitted she really shouldn't), the girls had managed to get themselves into trouble anyway, and according to the school's three-step harrassment policy, the girls had overstepped the mark by far.
Anyway, to cut a short srory long (!), the two girls from the school have been suspended for six days! I don't know what is to be done about the girl from another school who was involved but I shall be following it up today.
Must go, can't stay to answer questions or catch up reading, will check again tonight. Hopefully I will feel more up to it then.

I am so glad the girls feel safer, and that they have a place to go if things change. There have probably always been kids who don't feel safe at school, but these days we recognise that it's obscene and take action!!

I have ironing pile to fold and iron this morning, and a load to feed the machine.

Dinner tonight is : Quiche ( left over from Sunday - made 2 only used 1) with Salad.

I won't be feeding the machine today Rolanda. It looks like rain. My excuse and I'm sticking to it! But I do have a pile of folding and ironing to get rid of. Plus the girls dinner dishes from last night. They made themselves something to eat, but 'forgot' to clean up. I decided that doing that for them was not an appropriate anniversary activity - so woke up to it this morning. Regretted my decision big time then!!

Thanks for that Gail - the girls mest feel safer knowing that you're on their side and following up. Yes, Suzy, I'll get on the bus with you and with both of us staring them down - I wouldn't like to be them!

Snap Rolanda - we're having quiche for dinner too.
Off to visit Mum later this morning.
