Forgot to tell you, I asked Ally about the kids who have been giving her a hard time, 'how are they acting now?' She said they are not nice, but they are polite. They don't like her, but they say excuse me etc. That is a huge improvement! I hope it sticks...

This afternoon, I got out the carpet cleaning machine. That bit of a spill I did the other day, and just wiped up needed a real cleaning. Huumm, I forgot I had let a former neighbor borrow the mqchine as she was cleaning floors moving out. she did not clean the machine fore returning it! Hubby received the machine and put it away, so I had not niticed. DRATS, it almost did not work it was soo clogged with dog hair.

Do you ever have a problem with something you have loaned out comming back not in good shape?

Tricia - my mother taught me to return anything borrowed in better condition than you received ...and send a "thank you" note! She wasn't a very good mom in many ways, but did teach me some important manners.

Of course, Heidi! I'll just pay them with my cyber bank account. Hopefully nothing will fall in arears

Tricia - sounds like you turned up some alligators! Go to do a quick chore and wind up spending all day on it. Hope the machine works after you clean all that yuck out - poor girl.

VICI, my spill is cleaned up, the machine is not. I cannot access the tank to empty, it seems stuck. Hubby managed to "forget" I need him look at it. He went back to the office to send out some prints, and as always work comes first.

Grrrr! Maybe take a hammer to it. Better yet, take a hammer to your neighbor! No, no, that's not noice.

VICI, a hammer, yes, it might need a bit of a factory adjustment hehehe.

Still have not heard from daughter #3. Melbourne has had up to 20 inches of rain in some areas, most of Melbourne had at least 10 inches. Lots of flooding of homes, some tornado damage. Electricity is out to many homes, hope that is why she has not phoned, will try her work e-mail again tomorrow. Little sticker should report in, she knows her Dad worries about her a lot more than he admits. It appears at last that FAY is moving again, hope she moves offshore and lets them dry out tomorrow.

Keeping D#3 in my postitive thoughts, Tricia. Until they have kids of their own (does she?), they have no idea how parents worry.

Hello All...Those of you who are doing stuff and paying bills can just add me to the 'to do' list...I can use all of the above!
My poor middle grand has just started college in Miami, and Orientation has been postponed due to the storm, They have been told to stay in the dorm....She's complaining that its cold there and of course....BOREING! She wants to get started! Poor baby...What a way to get your college career started....Glad my son is there to give her some reassurance and keep her calm.

Mama - thank goodness your son is there. I imagine a storm like Fay can be very scary - even for the seasoned Floridian.
