Yes, Liz, very lucky for you! it is good to be checked for spots. I had one removed in December, went back 6 months for a follow up and he found 4 more in June. I go back in October (notice appointment is only 4 months now) and hope I have not grown others!

Actually my family was more careful than most about sunburn, we burned easily and were forbidden the sun mid day. Even when camping, on vacations, any time. Followed suit when I had children, cause my girls burned easily also. Hats and T shirts if repeated sun exposure, like vacations or summer at the pool. In the shade from 11 till 4. And I still get skin cancers!

Might be a tad late, but I do not go out now if the UV rating is above 3 without my sun hats! Big wide brimed straw hats, and long sleeves or arms slathered in sun screen. I cannot find a sun screen that does not sting/burn my face, so the hats for that. I even have an umbrella by the back door, for the fast trips out to the office/shop, only takes a minute, but every minute of exposure adds up!

Suzy - I retired from the Monterey Fire Department (firefighter) about 7 years ago.

I'm off to do errands today. Niece and nephew (Tiffani, 28 and Adam, 26) are coming up for the weekend to hang out and kayak. They haven't been up to visit us in 5 years - young folks with real lives! Have lots of prep to do - like clean the house - sure needs it though.

Bean, we are looking into Broadband providers right now. I went to the site of one recommended by vdV and also used by a coworker of my husband. Unfortunately they have 5 different variations. I got the wireless vs ADSL thing, but the rest of it could have been in a foreign language! I saved the link and will get hubby to have a look at it. It's 'off peak' times are midnight to midday, which sounds fantastic to me as I'm a morning surfer...

I have been trolling the archives getting dusty again and just found my posts from when I was interviewed by police and reporters and wasn't sure why there were dozens of police cars etc on my street... Kind of ironic as the sentencing hearing is going on right now!!! That was Jan 06, so it has been dragging on for a while...

I have search for a bird who barked at me while walking, read a bunch of news, trolled the archives, got my best time ever on easy, and now there is thunder so I have to go...

Good morning all - Suzy posted nearly an hour ago. No posts on easy for ages. Where is everybody?
It's mother/daughter day for me today. Once a fortnight my daughter drops her kids at school and comes over to my place. We spend the day together, usually shopping, movies, or visit my Mum. It's always nice. When she was a teenager, she could think of nothing worse than spending a boring day with me. Now she's nearly 36 and she instigated the idea.

CynB, good for your daughter. they do realize that Mum is not such a bad egg sooner or later don't they? Middle daughter and I had a day a week visit before she moved to California. We usually shopped and ate lunchout, our favirite part hehehe. I miss those days now she has moved, and that is one thing we will do again when she visits, one day is shop and lunch out, just us, day.

I am back from the doc, he changed my BP med, The first one had not lowered it enough. Confirmed my suspension about which med from the colonoscopy was the one that did not like me, and I will ask for something different when I go for my surgery. So hoping that will be better.

Hi MizT - yes it's lovely but, one thing always amuses me - she lets me pay for lunch, never offers. But I remember letting my Mum pay always too. She now has a daughter so her turn will come.
Any news from your daughter in Florida?
