Vici, sorry I let you CP, should have jumped in there and broke it up hehehe.
OK, being addicted to smilies is not all bad! You have one for every occasion, if you can find it that is. It keeps you our of trouble at least, making and hunting smilies.

OH, did not know I was going over the top there!
this graphic reminds me of a favorite oem from childhood,
The Swing
Author: Robert Louis Stevenson - 1850-1894
How do you like to go up in a swing?
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside--
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown -
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

VICI, I guess I had read the BART before somewhere. Atlanta has the MARTA Metropoolitian area rapid transit authority, and maybe that helped figure it out?
I have a good story about MARTA once a long time ago. I will have to share it later.

OH, Vici, do not mess with my shrimp by adding EGGS. I ate Shrimp, only. No salad, no bread, just shrimp and more shrimp!
Unfortunately, the shrimp on that boat had been purchased on the dock before we left, from a shrimper just in, so they were not as fresh as yours, but pretty fresh. Water for boiling them (about 20 pounds of them) was hauled up in a cloth bucket from the bay! Some people were turned off by that and I do not think they ate shrimp at dinner, just salad and bread hehe. The shrimp had been swimming around in that waster just that morning, so what is the difference??? It ws thoroughly boiled fore the shrimp were dropped in, so what was the big deal? One way to get natural sea salt!

That shrimp-fest does sound wonderful, Tricia!
Our favorite Chrissy meal (when the prices drop) is Dungenous Crab. We just put newspaper down on the counter, slice up lemon, sourdough bread and melt some butter. What a feast!
I should have a crab smilie since I'm a Cancerean...better go look for one!

Vici, ever had crawfish? They are boiled in a very spicy brine, along with small new potatoes and corn on the cob. They are pulled from the boiling water and dumped down the center of a long paper covered table. At the crawfish boil festival I attended, local health dept would not allow newspaper, so the people putting on this feast bought rolls of new unused newsprint paper, and mounted them to the end of the tables. Once a table needed more food, the old paper was removed to trash and a fresh sheet rolled out.

In case you cannnot tell, I love seafood, only thing I cannot eat is raw oysters! Do not eat fried seafood much, not that I do not like it, fried does not like ME.
Huumm, wonder what seafood treat I might stir together for today. I have crab meat frozen, could make crab salad for sandwiches. I have a salmon steak and some tinned salmon also, and always tinned tuna.No shrimp though, it has too much cholesterol for hubby, we have that very rarely now.

MzT - your crawfishfest sounds so fun! I've made a lot of shrimp louies over this summer when it's been too hot to cook. Made my own "louie" dressing as 1000 island is not quite right.

Tricia - meant to tell you that I was glad Al finally heard from D#3 - they won't get it until they have their own...but so glad she was enjoying the storm in the eye with little rain.
How I'd love some of the rain you are getting - but not today as we are heading up the hill to kayak at a mountain lake.

Yes, I am happy that Al phoned her at last. He did find her cell phone number and I had got it also, from daughter #2. I shall put this into my address book now!
she welcomed the time off work, paid time off , and used it to get setteled into thier new abode. It sounds nice, 2 bedrooms, one bath, but a 2 car garage! They can get all thier belongings from storage and into the one place now. I do hope they will be happy there and able to stay a long time.

MizT., glad your daughter is OK. I remember The Swing, also. Wasn't it in the Childcraft books? I spent hours and hour with those books. Moma saved them for her grandchildren.

Just got home from my last day at the Fair. I still had 7 unused exhibitor passes, and I didn't want to just throw them away, so as I left, I waited outside the gate where pedestrians were admitted, and gave my spare passes to a group of inner city teens. They were pretty shocked when a chunky white stranger approached them and just gave them free passes.
On Monday morning, I get to bring home my Bettas!
I have now amassed nearly 120 smilies, I just tried to access them, and got the message that I have no smilies of my own.

Heidi, what a nice thing for you to do for the teens. I am sure they enjoyed themselves at the fair in your tickets.
yeah, your Bettas can come home. How long did this fair last? Seems like a long time already.

The KY State Fair lasts 11 days, but entries start being taken in as much as a week before. The Bettas had to be there 3 days beforehand, and the Rooster 1 day before. With pick up the day after, the whole Fair for me lasts 15 days.

And for those of you who will ask me... Eric has conjunctivitis, which is treatable. Patch got into a fight with one of the other Collies (Patch LOVES to annoy the others), and Coffee injured her stifle and is now on painkillers and anti-inflamatories. If she's still having difficulty in 2 weeks, she'll need surgery. The stifle is the equivalent of our knee.

Before I forget, MizT, yes, I do add tomato to my keema (thank you Bean). I add it as a small can of condensed tomato soup though. My receep also calls for mint and vinegar to be added at the end, so I use ready made mint sauce. White rice is fine to use.

Back again. I am washing like crazy today as my washing machine was on the fritz early in the week and then it rained! Sheets are next, but looking at the clothes line they might just have to wait until tomorrow - nowhere to hang them!
Walking will start after Ebob gets home from baseball practice as she wants to go with me. So I'm doing some of tomorrow's jobs to get them out of the way - like cleaning that wet place I get clean in and so on...
