OH I forgot the coffee, and it is late too, but noone from the top side is up and reporting in yet.

After a big blow and downpour of rain overnight, we had a break in the rain for a bit this morning. sort of in the center of the swirl for the moment, and it is cloudy and occasionally a shower, but not the deluge of rain we had overnight.

It was raining so hard, hubby did not come to the house last night. He was working on computers in his office late, and I imagine he did not want to run in during the down pour. Yes, I have been out to check on him, he was sound asleep in his recliner, alive and breathing, so I tiptoed back out and left him.

It was good seeing some of you commenting on the D and D page. That's an interesting page and I do love hearing different views and opinions that can be deep and meaningful or simply loony fun. Those who come here certainly fit that bill so hope to see more of you there as well as here...but I'll find you no matter where you go....Going to fling some food since every time I come here lately I find more food convo....hmmm you know that you will be the reason why I keep gaining weight...cyber food may not have calories, but when one is responding by eating real food because of it....well...... nuff said!

Hiya, Heidi - are you getting some rest today? I just pulled up my chaise cos I'm wiped out from family's visit.

Actually, I'm in a foul mood right now. My idiot husband broke (literally broke off) the hydrolics (sp?) on my new 75 HP tractor, then lied to me about it. My throat hurts from all the yelling I did. This will be a repair, if I'm lucky, of around $1 Thousand.!!!
Then, some cousins of his are coming over for supper in about 1 1/2 hours, and he's helping with nothing to get ready.

Sorry to hear about that Heidi - you've had a lot on your plate lately...not to mention some health issues. He needs to step up and help not hinder!

And what's with this lying? That's what kids do - and I thought your kids were the critter kind (like me).

Time for some deep breathing Heidi.... I'm sure hubby didn't mean to do all of that damage...accidents happen...I know that doesn't make it easier to deal with when you think of how much the repair will cost, and the bigger deal is not taking responsibility,but remember this too shall pass. Don't stress yourself out about things that can't be changed...breathe deeply girl....thats it .....now relax abit and when the familycomes, just tell them things got pushed back a bit and move on..it'll get better...but perhaps it'll take abit more time... May peace find you soon!

We're not sure why Ally is not eating. Well, she is eating, just not very much. We suspect the little sweethearts and their 'rolls of fat' comments, so we are watching closely. So far it seems that she will eat something if she really can't resist it. If she only sort of likes something she might eat a tiny bit of it. We haev icecream and strawberries in the house at the moment - which I don't like doing, but at least there are some good things mixed in with the sugar and fat! But last night she ate everything on her plate - even the vegies!!!!

Ah, the house is empty! I am going to take an hour or so to read the news and have a relaxing cup of coffee, then I'm going to troll the op shops for a grey jumper and skirt so Ally can go to book week dressed as Hermione... We've already made the red and yellow striped tie, the wand, and the Hogwarts patch for the robe. Now I just have to work out how to make the robe with a broken sewing machine! (Just out of warranty of course).

Heidi, you can come here to vent when something, even a hubby, has got on your last nerve. I hope you can blow off enough steam so you are all better. that is what it takes sometimes, blow it off, vent it out, take the pressure off. We can come and help you yell if you need us, you know!

Heidi - so sorry about your tractor and all that goes with that.

You are so right MizT. I felt so much better after venting in here about Ally's tormenters receiving the award. The support and .... I guess validation is the word - a reality check - is endlessly helpful.

It took a day for me to calm down Heidi, hope it works for you too!
