Will have to mock one up. The original one we used has been lost for many years and we make it up from memory...which is getting harder every time! When we first made it, we didn't have the correct ingredients so we used what we had in the pantry, (2qwwwwwwwwwwwww1111-hello from Nibbles!) hence using the soup and mint sauce. That first time we made it was probably the best!

Enjoy your day Rolanda and hubby.
Hope you are feeling a little better after a bit of physical activity. Always good to get out of the house when you are feeling a bit miserable.
Bye all, catch you later.

Hello all...I've been off visiting pages and playing flip word so I'm really not here...but on my way to bed...just had to say hello.
I'm sorry that so much had been written about food...especially the shrimp...but now I know what I'm having for dinner tommorow....I just finished two wonderful days of fresh fried fish(a rare indulgence)stewed tomatoes, green beans and hash browned potatoes....boy was it yummy!
I haven't eaten like that since Sully died....since he did the cooking and hadn't gotten around to fixing the fried fish that I had requested...so the enjoyment was bittersweet since it was one of his favs too....

You don't need to forget, to heal. Remember all the good stuff about Sully, and he'll always be alive in your heart.

All this talk about seafood. We had wonderful seafood in Malaysia. Crabs, prawns, seasnails, fish etc nearly every night. The food was mainly Chinese type cooking and we only had Nasi Goreng once (at lunch time)and it was not as good as Liz's. We always new when the meal was about to end when the fruit tray (watermelon, paypaya, melon etc)came.

Broni, your home made pasties sound nice. We had sausages, mashed potato and peas for our first meal back home. And we enjoyed it as much as all the fancy food we had eaten.

June, the food sounds wonderful! But I completely identify with wanting 'regular' food when you get home. While living in the states I would have loved sausages.... now I'm home, I'd love to never have them again!!!

Oh Gail, just heaps of grated vegies and mince for me, bit of curry powder (sorry Bean hope you have it in your cupboard now)throw a couple of eggs in to bind it a bit and wrap the pastry around it using a bit of milk to make it bind and brush it over the top.....and you reckon you have lost the recipe. Still reckon I could find my old mums receep if I tried.
