I picked that desk up at our re-use centre for nothing. It was in sad shape. The poor thing had no seat and the desk top was pretty beat up. Lots of sanding and filling, a custom paint job and one cushy seat later, we have a desk any girl would love to do school work at.

no just some boring pooter problems. i wish i was off some place exciting. but, too many things to do getting the kids off to school. so what do i need to know? who is feel unwell? is in recovery? is having children stress/joys? animals on the fritz? weather problems? i've missed you gals!

CynB got word yesterday that they have a definite "close" date on the business sale this week - maybe even tomorrow...don't quite remember.
Heidi has rounded up her critters from the fair where she got all sorts of alcolades and awards...and she even brought back a few extra (Eric the bunny)
Rola has had a barrel full of family b'days - I'm eating cake to keep up with her!
Gail is taking on her daughter's school - and still manages to keep up the exquisite nightly dinner fare.

MzT is napping right now - she had what I believe is her last test for awhile today.
Broni worked all last week by her lonesome and still managed to post and tease Gail.
Viv - it has been discovered - is my siamese twin...we were seperated at birth.
June is back!!! Still no posts of her pics.
Ruby is keeping us in stitches.
Ruby and Heidi are watching out for TS Fay...and MzT has been surviving some of it down her way.
Suzy is walking her dogs off delivering.

so, an update on my sis. she is amazing and making new plans for her and her childrens' future senza big, bad hubby. she is a CPA and has a great career. the problem is childcare. i wish she would move to utah so my older sister and i could watch the kids. we are both stay at home moms and have the ability to help. plus it is so much cheaper to live here than seattle.

I just KNOW I'm missing so much important stuff - my mind is full of holes!
Hope somebody can help me out here!
Me - I just had my grown niece and nephew visit for the weekend - posted pictures from our kayaking...and shrimp on the barbie!

Great news about your sis, mariana. I have been keeping her in my prayers. It would be wonderful if her kids could hang with their cousies...but I imagine she likes her job, perhaps? Gets paid better? Doesn't want to uproot the kids? She must have her reasons.

No way - you couldn't be on here if you weren't related to someone! I think we're pretty inbred her! I hear banjos playing!!!

Morning all! Just a quick visit.. I've been embroidering yellow and red stripes on a sloppy joe this morning (the closest I could find to a grey jumper like Hermione wears). I'm off to walk for about 3 hours (I figure if I can do 3 hours a day I can do that and still fit in the other stuff), then come home and make a magicians cloak/robe. A friend has lent me her sewing machine so I might try to sneak in some repairs while I have it here!

June - back to the old routine already, it's almost like you've never been away - almost..

Wanted you all to know (in case you miss it) that Dino got her diagnosis and can undergo treatment for it. She posted at the end of page 3 on Easy. The diagnosis was Myasthenia gravis - googled it and it sounds like it's quite treatable.

Can you keep it warm for me Vici, be back in about 4 hours and will need it again then.... Ta muchly!
