Gail...not sure what the plans are for W/E 4th and 5th. It is Lachies 18th and all will depend on when and what we organise...paintballing is the chosen activity and so all will depend on when and where they chose to go. With a bit of luck I'll be free to jump on a train and meet you for a wee while...won't know until closer to the date.

Well, settlement is now at 2.30pm - so I'm off to the shops for a few hours or I will go crazy in these last few hours of waiting. Back later.

OH MY GOD, Bean! Yes, I'm glad I asked! What a story...how I wish I had been there. And you were rolling along so beautifully. What causes that?
When I use to be an "acting" engineer (shift promotion, only temporary) and drive the fire engine and would hit curbs, we would all look at each other confussed and say, "What causes that?"

I have terrible news… While attempting to undo the results of three days rushing around doing stuff other than STUFF, I discovered something awful. My husband and children broke their arms and legs and didn’t tell me! I guess they didn’t want me to worry, because the things they couldn’t carry or return to their rightful locations, they simply covered with a blanket, a pillow, a shoe, whatever it took to hide the evidence of their terrible injuries. In their desperation they even resorted to sliding things under the lounge. I feel so guilty for not noticing their horrible pain. The overflowing garbage and recycling bins are evidence that they really did try hard to clean up after themselves, but it’s obvious their injuries were just too severe for them to be able to keep up.

Good one, Bean! And Suzy, too.
I have a question. If someone asks you to be their "friend", are they automatically yours, too?

Oh Suzy....what a terrible mother you are...LOL!!!!!
Sounds a bit like this place except ... shock oh shock...found the rubbish bins had miraculously reappeared from the nature hip after the garbo's had been. I even wondered if a good neighbour had visited.....wonders will never cease....must confess to making a terrible racket the night before when I found everyone asleep and the bins not out.....

We had one thunder clap about six this morning. Points west of here had tornado watches this evening, but not us. But we have had rain, rain and more rain.
}rain, rein, reign} (just felt like doing that)

We do get snow - all four glorious seasons.
We moved to the Sierra Nevada mountain area in northern CA about 7 years ago. We moved up from the coastal area - Monterey...which had no weather but fog and sun.

We just had such a mild, short winter this year and a summer of excessive heat, no summer storms (which we usually get) - it's very dry right now.
But the trees are starting to turn
so I'm hoping Fall is just around the corner.

I walked the course at Pebble Beach, but only played a small 9 hole (pitch and putt) course called "Peter Haye" that is right across from the Pebble Beach resort.

Rob a bank? Not yet, but I'm game if you are!
I think there will be a sizeable deposit at a bank in Redlands, Australia today!

Since neither one of us has robbed a bank, I guess playing Pebble is out.
I hope Cyn's sale goes through, too. All that waiting with up's and down's is an agony of its own.

I thought her appointed time was 2:30. It's only 15 min. after that (I think... with 24 time zones to deal with, it's hard keeping them all straight).

It's 10:00 p.m. where I am on the west coast. I'm up later than usual...but the US Open tennis just started and I Tivoed it...so I'm watching the matches from today.
I like your "snap" Viv!
