Maen Sudoluland!
Coffee and Jam for your scones, muffins or toast today.
I am busy again today, need to jam some fruit I have ready. this is the third batch. I think I have enough prepared fruit in the fridge for 2 batches, but, alas, today I must go and get squished! Also a bone density, and pick up a few items that Aldi's did not have. I could not find turnip greens, black eyed peas or navy beans, tinned, in 2 trips to Aldi''s so today i should stock up on those.
Might look for another sun hat. They will probably be gone after this weekend, our Independance Day long weekend comming up. I need a work hat, huumm, there was a yucky spring green one like my lovely red one, might get that for yard work, and see what else I can find.

Hope Sully's surgery went well,
Suzy, hang on in the wind, and hope no more damage, I know getting weather damage repaired can be a chore, cause too many people wanting the same few craftsmen.

Suzy it was a piece of MDF board about 1 metre x 70cm x 1cm and quite heavy. I was lifting it off an old (over 70 years) dolls pram that was in the store room.I had Laura and she thought she would like to play with the pram. It was wrapped in a piece of cardboard and it slipped out!(It had been made to fit on the end of a cupboard and never used! Landed fair on the nail of my big toe.

Pop, Pop, Pop, that is the sound of successful seals on my jars of jam! I think I counted all 5 POPs as I was typing. Yep, all done, and had them finished by 7:15 my time this morning. There are 5 more pints of jam and one lonesome half pint jar, with not quite full enough to seal. I will give that one to my neighbor who gave me the plums, for them to eat now.
Do all you jam makers use a water bath to porocess your jam? I do not, found a "short cut" that works nicely. Steralize your jars and lids and keep them in the hot water till right ready to use. Fill with hot jam to within 1/4 inch of top, this is important, quickly put on the lids and rings. Turn them on thier heads for 5 minutes, to warm the lids and all, then turn them back upright. Within a half hour, as the jam inside cools, they will go POP and make a proper seal on the jam or jelly either. so much easier than the water bath, and they keep just as well.

One more for a CP - no wind this morning. That doesn't mean it won't come up again later, but I'm hopeful! When the sun is up I'll drag the branches into a pile and see if I can reach the carport roof with a ladder. IF the wind doesn't start again that is...
