OH SUZY, the chair is a recliner that fully reclines, so not bad, and we do have 2 blow up beds if it is going to be a longer stay. I am just so glad to have a safe place to go. Unless I put a bed in the closet, not much place to have one now, hubby's shop has creeped into the bedroom now. nothing in my huge closet area,YET, I could probably put up and leave up a bed in there soon, we will see.

JUNE, if your TV shows this summer are akin to the offerings here, they lend themselves nicely to dozing in front of them.

I have had a buzy day sewing for D1 who wants all these dance costumes made. She drove here today so we did a lot of sewing. Almost finished but she had to get home to feed her animals. (7 horses, 2 dogs, 4 cats and an avery of finches)
Three underskirts to finish.I will do them in the morning.
And yes there is little on TV.
Hubby now watching big rugby game between Aussie and NZ.

JUNE, you are a busy bee making costumes again! What does your daughter teach that they need so many costumes? Drama? theater or some such? and what are the ages of the costume wearers? Have you ever put up photos of the productions and your lovely costumes?

Yes, cornbread is espically goos with tomato dishes. Throughout our history, Southerners Have served sliced tomatoes with our cornbread all summer , and then lovely homemade/home canned tomato vegetable soup with cornbread all winter!

Tricia, my daughter teaches art but has also started taking the dance group and entering them in competitions. Pupils from about 12 to 17 and both boys and girls. I must get her to take some photos. Generally she just takes some video.
We made about 45 'tank tops', mainly for the boys for some 'jungle' type dance.
Then 15 dresses with underskirts with frills of tulle. That is a dance representing the ocean.

Morning all!

LOL MizT! Know all about that $/time conflict. If you have plenty of time, you don't have the $, if you have the $ you don't have the time!!!

Sorry to hear you are still having trouble sleeping. That must be making your recovery harder. Sending the sandman over there...

The party was good last night. I always meet amazing people at this friend's parties. I met a man who may very well have done the biopsy on my BCC, a teacher at my daughter's school, a musical lady named Suzy, I re-met George who has a years worth of stories at least about his life, I caught up with a friend who broke her neck in a car accident earlier this year - she is going back to work next week! - a bunch of people talking about motorbikes, ooh, and I saw my friend's new bike - impressive!!!

Hello to all my dear SA5 friends - I'm so sorry I haven't been here lately. Have just had a lovely message from MizT. Just a quick explanation - have been super busy with preparations for the sale of our business due to settle on 1st August - please keep your fingers crossed that all goes well for us and that the light at the end of the tunnel is not the light of an oncoming train. By the end of August we hope to be in WA where I hope to catch up with Rolanda, Mary etc, maybe Anne in Albany as well. I have missed you all but have ended up hungry reading through this page at what you were all having for dinner last night!! I'll be back soon.

Yes, Broni, a chicken party would be good but, I know I said I was going to retire the chickens for good when the business was gone, I think I might miss them if I do. But I'm sure they'd love a party anyway!
MizT - yes Friday is August - there's less than 5 months to Christmas!
