I just saw your note. Yes, we did go to Elephant Rock for the ANZAC dawn service. It was very moving - but sooo many people there. We were just staying around the corner in Tugun. We go there for holidays - next time in December for 3 weeks.
Do you live close by? Maybe we could meet up when I get to the coast next time. What a shame you missed our get together in Coolangatta last week.

Hi Ozcmom, that was a beautiful piece you posted. Hope you have a great weekend.

What sort of training does your son do? Do you live at the coast or just go for the training?

We only go for holidays but always to the same place at Tugun. We have friends who run the units and they are very accommodating - let us know about cancellations etc - even though it is first in best dressed. They are run by the railway social club and very affordable - you just need to clean as you leave, bring your own towels, bedding etc but everything else is there and a great location.

I live in Hayward, which is a suburb of Oakland. I was born in San francisco, and live there for the first 27 years of my life.

Santa Clara is on the other side of the Bay. Santa Clara is just North of San Jose, and I live about an hour away, and across a bridge. Difficult to get here from there. When we used to work in Santa Clara at the Park behind the swim center , we stayed at a hotel.

Our esteemed Ian from Sydney and his charming wife Anne will be in my neck of the woods (Thorneside) from the 26th to 28th September.
