Well Goodness me! What a lovely welcome! Thanks all. I have been sneeking around playing Sudoku and quitely reading lots of posts - you all seemed like such a nice bunch I thought I would join. It looks like that was a good idea I have no idea how this all works but will give it a go. By the way GrannieMo - Glass House Mountains is in Queensland Australia...just north of Brisbane and in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. One day I will work out pictures and pop a nice one my husband took of the unusual mountains that give the area its name. You will have to be pretty patient though!!

What a pity I missed them when we visited Queensland. We stayed with friends in Bundy but travelled as far up the coast as Rockhampton.

Due to much interest from those of us on site I thought we might have the first gathering.

Anticipated date - Saturday 1st March

Place - to be decided but probably Southbank/Little Grey St area
Time - to suit most of us - morning or afternoon tea

Place - Chez Laila on the boardwalk at Southbank
Bring your partner and/or kids if you want -all welcome.
Please RSVP by Thursday 28th February so I can confirm numbers with Chez Laila.
Chez Laila is near the Maritime Museum - entry via Ernest & Little Stanley Sts (parking is at the entry to the gardens). It is also close to South Bank (formerly known as Vulture St) Railway station. There is a ferry terminal close by.
Chez Laila is a lebanese restaurant which serves burgers, focacias, bagels, chips, salads along with the traditional lebanese food. They also have a cabinet devoted to delicious cakes/desserts. They serve coffees etc and are also licenced.
