Tom - just stopped by to see how you are doing and bring you some Strawberry Cream Cheese Pie. Are you from the Big Vancouver (BC) or Little Vancouver (WA)? Also here are some flowers to brighten up your place

Tom, I don't ever remember Vancouver, BC as ever being small. While I was raised in Los Angeles, as a child there was a quarter horse ranch accross the street and grape vineyard, olive & lemon groves a few blocks away.

Now fully grown, I live in a town of under 3,000, with the "big" city (60,000) 5 miles away.

Big and little are all in the perspective.

Welcome back from your vacation (in the wilds).

Hello Tom - I seem to be a bit late welcoming you to your own page, I thought I had ages ago.

Here's a bottle of our local Wignall's Late Harvest for you to enjoy with your visitors.

G'day Tom - thanks for visiting my page and your very kind words about my photos. I love taking photos for my own pleasure and now there's an added incentive to take them for my page for all to see. Feel free to visit it anytime as I do try to add more every now and then if I've been somewhere different or interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your photos of Vancouver and surrounds as I'm sure it must be a beautiful scenic country. I hope to visit there in the not too distant future and see for myself.

Cheers
Anne

Hi Tom! A very belated to you! Just read your post on easy and stopped by to bring you a pot of Maryland Cream of Crab soup. I live on the East Coast of the U.S. near the Chesapeake Bay. Lots of blue crabs to be had in this area. The soup is one of my favorite uses for them!

Tom, your musings were my kind of comedy! Funny without all the expletives, screamings, and foul thinking. Keep it up!

Hi Tom! Can't believe you've been around since July & I haven't noticed before! There's probably a lot going on that I don't notice, particularly since we're retirees, too, & travel a lot. When we're away from home I don't get on site every day, but I saw your list on today's Easy - very clever & funny. Glad to have you with us in Sudokuland. Will keep a lookout for your name in the future. Looks like my Smilies survived the changeover!!

Hello Tom - I haven't seen you around for a very long time and I just noticed your comment on easy tonight, so I thought I'd pay you a visit. I must admit I don't get on here very often these days either.
I hope all is well with you.
Cheers

Hello Tom. I can't believe in all these years that I have never stopped by before. My apologies. I have a daughter who lived in Vancouver until about 10 months ago but she has relocated to Kelowna. At any rate, belated Christmas wishes to you and yours, and may the new year see you and all you care for have good health, happiness and peace. Cheers!

Hello again Tom, I'm the one who needs to apologise for being so long in replying. I've been caught up with extra hours at work and only just after I've arrived home from an overseas holiday.
Thank you for your comments. I don't always comment myself these days but still do most of the puzzles and check out the daily photos.

Hello Tom, you are quite right. I had never been to Queensland or New South Wales before, but yes, I have travelled the world quite a bit. I thought I'd keep travelling overseas while I was still able to, then start seeing more of Australia. I also thought it was about time I got over that way to meet other Sudoku members plus meet up with some again who have visited Albany and stayed with me. It was a great holiday and lovely to meet up with so many people.
Cheers,
Anne

So glad to hear that you and your daughter are recovering from the virus, Tom! These are crazy times, and it has been good for all of us to follow and somewhat share in your journey. Continued healing ... and thank you for the insight you have provided. I have faith that we will get through this and be stronger for having endured it. God bless us all.

Thank you, Tom, for your kind words. I didn't learn of this until I was in high school and even then it was sketchy. After my dad passed away, did I come across the paperwork that he did as an accountant for the fundraising of building a VFW post. And I saw the drawings and notes he did long ago regarding their little shed that they lived in. And the house they lost.

tom, I hope your wife has/had a wonderful 'Covid-19 birthday'! My birthday was six days ago and I was dreading it. Surprisingly, I had a very nice birthday - partially because it was quite different than other birthdays. Maybe you develop appreciation for the simpler things in life during this pandemic.
Wishing a very 'Happy birthday!' to her!
