Hi vdV, I had to visit as I saw your posting on yesterday's (4/23) page, which is incidently today for me, and I didn't recall seeing you before. Your photos are great, I love the Christmas decorations one, I go all out for Christmas too - so I can appreciate that. My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary as well, so I too wonder were the time has gone. Which, I guess is a good thing, but I wish it would slow down every once and awhile so I have more time to enjoy it.

Thanks for the fly-by my friend! All is well here. Just dodging rain storms trying to get a deer fence in for a veggie garden and siding up on the older part of the house. It will be a very busy (working) summer! Glad you made it home safe and sound from all your travels.

Hi vdV, An ambitious project, that RV12. After reading your post yesterday I went "surfing".

I discovered that Van's Aircraft is located about 100 road miles, and just shy of 87 direct line miles, from my place.

The build looks like a labor of love. (I'm doubt I could muster up the dedication and patience to complete such a project)

I generally enjoy flying but will probably never pursue flight training.

With my location being rural, I am occasionally "treated" to overflights by Air Force C-17 and Navy A6 aircraft (if I don't blink), as well as a variety of helicopters. Ft Lewis /McChord and Whidby Island, NAS are relatively close.
