FANTASTIC!!! i am amazed at your ability to capture the beauty of our planet that so many of us take for granted. your photos are simply beautiful!!! have i done MANY of them in jigsaws? thought so! Hi Ian: I always enjoy your shots. Where's Bronte Beach? It looks so inviting. Our beaches are much too cold for me, though many locals dont mind it. It's like ice water from the fridge. I'm dropping off a fresh Pacific Sockeye Salmon and a bottle of 'Painted Turtle' cabernet sauvignon from Penticton, BC. Buen Provecho.

Hi Islandbea (that's a cute name), Bronte Beach is one of the many fabulous suburban beaches of Sydney. It is where two of my kids live and is the next one south of the famous Bondi Beach. Sydney sprawls along the east coast of Australia and has many similar beaches both north and south of the Harbour entrance. The water temperature often reaches 20ºC in summertime and swimming is quite a pleasant experience. The surf, though, can be very dangerous at times and deserves respect.
Thank you for the salmon and wine, my wife and I will enjoy the experience.

Islandbea, I note that your title implies that youo are from Vancouver Island. I have visited the island twice, once with one of my crews - we hired a car and drove from Comox down to Nanaimo and back via Port Alberni. My second visit was with my friendly Canadians on the National Defence Course when we landed at Comox and caught the ferry down to Victoria for a couple of nights before moving over to Vancouver to continue our tour of the Provinces and Territories. It was a wonderful experience.

Hello Ian (I cut & pasted this as also sent it to Rola in Perth) - I haven't been able to use my computer at home because I took it out to friends on Sunday evening to have a programme downloaded, then left it unhooked because I had to take it to the photo workshop last night. Then to top it all off, the keyboard didn't work when I set it all back up last night. Hopefully that has been fixed, so it should be up and running tonight.

Ian, Thanks for all the wonderful pictures you post. Through you, I have seen parts of the world that I may never have a chance to visit. I love taking pictures but they come out no where near as nice as yours.

Thank you for visiting my page. I live about a mile from the Florida Everglades. When the drought we are in the middle of is over, I will take some pictures to share. I first have to get better at putting pictures on my Flickr page. The one I put on is the only one I have been successful with.

Ian, thanks for the tips. My biggest problem is finding time to play at my computer. I also have a lot of problems getting pictures to attach. It may just be my ocmputer. School ends in a few weeks and I will most of the summer to play. I have a summer job but at least I don't have to grade papers at night.

Ian, Thanks again. I have added a few new pictures to my flickr page. It was actually quite easy. Once the drought is over, I am going to take some pictures of the Everglades to put on. I am going to Colorado this summer and will definitely be taking my camera. Keep submitting all of your great photos.

Oh! Yes. You are correct. The photo in the medium jigsaw is a 'squared' version of my photo. I did not post the squared version in Flikr, however I did post the full frame. I also added it to my page so you can see the full version.

Ian: definition of 'ocmputer' A computer in Orange County, California. There is a tv show over here called 'The O. C.' which takes place in Orange County. I don't watch the show, but I thought it would make a great definition. I wonder how many other words we are going to come up with.

Hello Ian - thought I'd just write a quick message while I've got time to come on the site. I'm having a lovely time up here and leave tomorrow. We had a birthday party yesterday for my 6yo grandaughters birthday and had thousands (or so it seemed) of 6yo girls here. It was lovely to be here for it and I'm sure they all had fun.

Ian, glad you enjoyed the beers. I don't usually drink beer but I occasionally enjoy a Boag. Not sure how well you know Victoria but the photo was taken on the road to Cape Otway. We had decided to go for a drive during hubby's holidays and it was actually our 24th wedding anniversary. We ran into a group of tourists at the side of the road watching him/her and so we chatted with them for a while and took the photo, which I must admit turned out better than I thought it would. And I am guessing an Essendon supporter.
