Heidi - all weekend (as I was at the convention), I thought of you and the storms and were worried for you and your family. Hope all is OK with you.

Heidi, Pip has already stolen our heart we cannot wait to get him home. He was the breeder's (another Heidi) favourite. She is expecting some friends next week and thinks they will tell her off for not letting them have him. They show dogs and the way he is shaping up he could be a very good show dog. Fortunately his parents are very good agility dogs, which is what he will be doing when he is a little older.

If my ping pong ball fell into a 12 inch deep pipe I'd pour enough water into it to raise it up high enough to fish out with my fingers.
Barring that I'd wait until I got to town and bought another ping pong ball. I know I'd have to go to town soon because I was drinking water and that would indicate to me that it was past time for a beer run.

Thanks Heidi for your response. My horse association
doesn't go back as far as yours. When I was young, we lived in suburbia, and there was not much space for keeping horses; but I did manage to feed the milkman's horses. In those days, the milk was delivered by horse and cart, and dispensed by dipper into jugs which the client would leave out on the front step.........those were the days !!!
I currently have, on a friend's property my own pure bred Quarter horse. He will be 32 years old in November. I have had him for 16 years and we are great buddies. I rode Him in Dressage (VERY low levels) but we had lots of fun. For 10 years I was Event Secretary for the local Dressage Club, and I learnt so much about horses (and also about people !)We are so lucky that animals are willing to let us share their lives.

Heidi, I have not done the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb, but I understand that climbers all have to wear special clothing which includes a harness which is chained to a fixed railing. It is needed if only from the wind factor, which can be quite strong up there.

Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know I get to see a bit of the Country close to you soon. Our Tote (Pari-Mutual) has been operating on a number of USA harness meetings. We generally have been getting Meadowlands (from Saturday night), Yonkers NY (Monday and Wednesdays) and Balmoral Park Ill. on Thursday nights. I notice in my cable programme we will next Monday morning be getting The Red Mile (Sunday night your time). Had a look at Lexington on Google and see it's not that far from Magnolia. Will be looking forward to seeing it.
