Hi, YKM! I'm guessing you're asking about the source of The Flower City moniker for our city - actually it is located on a river around which the original settlements were established because of the rapids & falls for powering flour mills. The city, Rochester, NY, was the largest flour-producing city in the US; thus called The Flour City. When the wheat-producing industry moved westward, our fame was replaced by nursery & seed businesses, fruit orchards, and a rather famous collection of Lilac bushes - so the nickname was changed to the Flower City.

Hi Margaret, not sure that it's us getting slower or that we notice the time more. I haven't been to golf since Mum passed away mainly because I haven't been well. I'm on the mend now though. Bill is still enjoying his golf though he didn't play today he was looking after Bridei while I took our eldest Narrelle to have a cancer cut off her back. Cheers.
