Jeb! Jeb! Got your moose. He was trying to get to the moonshine.
Ouch.

I'd not worry about the moose getting to the corn squeezin's except that he'd drink more than his share. I never did like him after a few drinks anyway, he has a tendency to become morose and maudlin, two characteristics I could never stand in a moose.

A moose is asleep
He is dreaming of moose drinks
A goose is asleep
He is dreaming of goose drinks
That’s well and good, when a moose dreams of moose juice
And nothing goes wrong when a goose dreams of goose juice
But it isn’t too good when a moose and a goose
Start dreaming they’re drinking the other one’s juice

Bruce is back on tour with the E Street Band, so how about, "Born to Run."
Now, let's try some of that moose juice rather than wearing it.

All right, I'm here for dessert. Is there any chocolate moose left? And what about games? Why don't we get a round of "Goose the Moose" started? Dr. Seuss, you go first.

"The Mason Williams Reading Matter"
Mason Williams
Doubleday & Company, Inc. 1969
"Them Moose Goosers"
How about Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they recluse?
Up in them boondocks
Goosin' them moose.
Goosin' them huge moose,
Goosin' them tiny,
Goosin' them meadow-moose
In they hiney.
Look at Them Moose Goosers,
Ain't they dumb?
Some use an umbrella,
Some use a thumb.
Them obtuse Moose Goosers,
Sneakin' through the woods,
Pokin' them snoozy moose
In they goods.
How to be a Moose Gooser?
It'll turn ye puce.
Gitchy gooser loose and
Rouse a drowsy moose!

Spend one day away and everyone gets out of control. I've plucked the lawn darts out of Becky's...never mind. Who's up for a game? Pass me some of that moonshine first. It improves my aim.

RENA, you best apply some of that moonshine to Becky's never mind! Lawn darts can carry some nasty bacteria! Moonshine is a good antiseptic you know.

Just exactly what word or phrase did you put in the Google "search", Jeb? Or perhaps Mr. Mason is a favorite author whose prose has an honored place on your library shelf?

A very singular place of honor on the library shelf. The Moose Gooser 'pome' is but one stanza of several making up what years ago was loosely referred to as the 'Doodle-Dasher Song'.
Some of the others are: "Them Dog Kickers", Them Toad Suckers", "Them Tummy Gummers" to name a few.
"Classical Gas" is by Mason Williams, by the way.

That little ditty was on "The Mason Williams Phonograph Record" I also had two other albums.
"The Mason Williams Ear Show" and "Music for the Epicurean Harkener" but alas, all of our phonograph albums got misdirected during a move and were sold several years ago.

Oh, this Moose Munch is soooo gooood! Cookie & Creame variety!!!
I remember a couple of years back, one of the artists at Britt had "Moose Munch in the Green Room" written into his contract, after having it at a previous performance. It must have made an impression on him. As I said oh so good!

Eve, honey, could we PLEASE have some music that's just a tad more up-to-date? Say something from the 60s?
Gail - I thought everybody knew that the plural of moose is meese! But we don't have to worry about that because Jeb only brought one moose to the party - didn't you Jeb?????? I would hate to think there's more than one. Have you ever heard a lovesick moose? The bellowing is almost as bad as Becky's caterwauling in the shower with Greg and his soggy beavertail. Tsk.
