WELCOME!

Okay, I wont beat about the bush, I am pretty pants at keeping these sort of sites up to date, so please accept my apologies now!

So who am I?

A mum (of 2)

A daughter (of 2)

A worker (of my employers)

A friend (of my friends)

A VW Camper Van Owner (of Georgette)

A sudoku-ist (of sudoku.com.au)

Question : What do you call a group of sudoku players?

you know, like "a gaggle of geese" a "a pride of lions"

I want to know your answers - made up, or maybe you really know?

Maybe we could even get an entry in the Oxford English Dictionary.....

Do you know what, I was leaning towards a Number of Sudokuists, but A "Grid" of sudokuists has a certain ring to it.

Hello all, and sorry I haven't been about much recently. Just got back from holiday yesterday with 5 of the most important people in my life, my daughter Toria, Caroline my best friend from school back in my London days, and her 3 children, Nicole (my god daughter) Jamie and Keelie. I think I am more shattered now than before I went. Still, a week of peace to look forward to, Toria is at her Grandmas for the week now. Dont get me wrong, I am missing her loads, but my word it is peaceful! LOL.
Will try and pop by again in the week and post a few comments around the place..
catch y'all soon

Today I am so Angry! There are some truely horrible people in the world. My friend had to have her 1 year old cat put down on sunday as some (I can't think of a word harsh enough without causing offence) 'PERSON' has burnt its face, and done some other things! Why in the world would anyone find that entertaining? or Fun? or just why in the world would you do that?

OMG Imogen, just read your previous post! That sort of thing makes my blood boil. What is it in some people's make-up! I'm just so not like that. I am at a loss to understand the minds of some....humans(was going to call them animals but they give animals a bad name). My thoughts to your friend, please tell her there are more nice people in the world than bad.

On a much lighter note, I have been thinking about your poser. Could it possibly be a GRID of sudoku players?

Hi Imms! I didn't realize I haven't been for a visit before. I saw your post on "easy". I'll go with Gail's suggestion of a "grid".
How horrible about your friend's cat. How in the world could someone do such a thing? There is the case of a very sucessful football player who was running a dog fighting ring here in the U.S. The pics of the poor dogs after a fight are terrible. I sincerely hope he gets the maximum sentence allowed. There is just something basically wrong with a person that can mistreat an animal.

Given the fact that in chemistry, a 'solution' is a homogenous mix of disparate components, could it be called a ''Solution of Sudokuans?''

Hi Imms
My suggestion is a Sudanthropy

Puzzle name – "sudoku"
Greek word for people – "anthropy"
Hence: Sudanthropy

I would call us a bunch of "odd lots" or - if one lives in a large, crime-infested city, "numbers runners"

Hi, Imms!

It just occurred to me that not everyone's mind is as "off center" as mine - so the reasoning behind "odd lots" is that in sudoku puzzles, we work with 9 numbers, hence "odd lots". Have a lovely day!

Imms, the "footballer" is Michael Vick. He plays for the Atlanta Falcons. So far he has been banned from football "indefinitely", has to return millions of dollars, has lost all his very lucrative product indorsements, and is facing jail time. It will be up to a judge to decide how much time. He has been on TV saying how sorry he is, etc. Too bad he can't apologize to all the dead dogs. He can think about that while sitting in his jail cell.

A grid of sudokuists has my vote. I can just see a bunch - er, "grid" - of us standing in grid form yacking about what goes where.

To any of you popping by and wondering where I have been. Things have changed at home, as I seperated with Torias dad, and this has also left me PC-less - so I havent been able to get on line, Have been thinking about you all though . My good friend Nadine has let me borrow hers today.

Wishing you all a very good New Year, and hopefully I can get back to logging in more often if I can get a PC setup again.

Oh Imms, I am so sorry to hear about the break up of your relationship, but you have to do what is best for you. The whole thing stems from your happiness and security.
I hope you and Toria are coping with the situation and that you are able to return to us as soon as possible.
Thinking of you,
Gail

There is a gorgeous photo of Toria on today's Parent's Puzzle.
I wish you could have easier access to a PC so we could find out how you are.
Still thinking of you,
Gail

Gail!

Non smoking is going well, I only used the Nicotine gum for a couple of weeks, and have now completely weened myself off of that. Despite having friends who are smokers too, I have not even felt an urge to smoke when I am with them
:-)
All feeling rather smug and pleased with myself :-) hee hee

WOW! To say I am happy to hear from you would be the understatement of the year. How wonderful to finally 'meet' your son, River. Probably a little late for these but
!

And Toria's 11,(hang on while I pick my jaw up off the ground) I can't believe it! I am sure she just started school last week!

Toria, have a wonderful day.

Thank you so much for dropping in, I hope your future connection lets you come and play with us some more. Looking forward to it. ♥
