Hi Spellmaster! to the SM Club. I'll bet there will be a big crowd gathering here as soon as people realize you are officially among us. I have always wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your attention to proper spelling. It's a personal quirk of mine, too. It drives me crazy when I see errors, not as much here as in the newspaper, etc. where there are supposed to be proofreaders or at least Spellcheck. Glad we have a human Spellchecker on the site to keep an eye on things! for your services!

Yes, the fountain is still going - it underwent repairs last year and was off for a while, then there was talk of leaving it off because of the drought, but they decided not on that. So, it is running well and can be seen from lots of places.

Spell master...its a pleasure to finally meet you...I enjoyed your pithy comments before I started using the site on a regular basis, and I'm happy to see that you are back. I'm sure I must have made you cringe in horror on many occasions with my typos, but in repayment, I offer you a basket of goodies that have made Philadelphia famous: Steak sandwiches, soft pretzels, Twinkies, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, scrapple, and to wash it all down, Franks Orange soda. Hope you enjoy.

What beautiful pictures! By any chance do you live in Tasmania or were these photos taken on a visit there? We stayed a nice little B & B in Hobart called Wellington Lodge on Scott Street in Glebe. Tasmania is a wonderful place. Loved it there

Spellmaster please forgive me for taking so long to get over here to your page.
It was great of you to stop by the chatroom and chat a while. Please join us again. Mostly it is just three or four us chatting about all and nothing.
I hope that view you have is from your patio--I would never leave--just sit there all day and look at the beautiful flowers and scenery.
Hope to see you soon.

Gday Spellmaster, I was just out and about and ended up here. What a lovely view you have. Many hundreds of years ago, I visited Mt Wellington in December and there was snow on top! Is that normal?
I've brought a bottle of bubbly and a plate of nibblies for you to enjoy.

Good to see a spellmaster on the site. I don't know what you posted to be censored, but if it was a complaint about bad-spelling you deserve a medal. Someone has to keep the Billys of this world in check

Hi Spellmaster...
Please excuse me in advance - the conduit between fingers, keyboard and brain often goes haywire and I'm sorry if I offend.
Didn't recognise the name but DO remember the daffodils - is that Mt Wellington in the background. A truly beautiful shot.
Scrolling down I was stopped in my tracks by Rayrays comment and I must confess I'm now very curious... yeah, I know - curiosity, cats etc...

Hi Paul, I regret to say I'm a rather 'broad' bean at the moment!! [much to my husbands utter disgust]
I've been a 'has', a 'miss', a 'jelly' and I'll probably end up being a 'red'faced bean if I waffle on much more.
I've lost the gist of what I was saying - kicked my 17yo son of the computer to do some business and have been sidetracked - he is decorating the Christmas tree and it is such a novel sight - he's been a bit 'old' to be involved with decorating the tree over the last couple of years. Do you have any children? Must sign off and enjoy this vision. I'm always on for a chat so feel free to drop in at any time.

Hi Paul - have been racking my brains since you last dropped in trying to work out how many times I've been to Hobart and when was the last time. First times was when I was in my very early 20's and the last time was on business - I attended a conference in Hobart and my husband and son came along for the trip and we did some touring once I'd finished. We stayed at Wrest Point - good conference facilities and great for the family for site seeing. That could've been 10+ yrs ago - I do know that my son wasn't very big. The day we drove up to the top of Mt Wellington it snowed which was rather novel for us.
Must get back to the Christmas chores - food and mail. I have 2 sisters and we are all getting together with our families which will be good. Cannot remember when we last shared Christmas together. [17 for lunch - gulp]
Have you something special planned?
ciao for now.

Back again.
You know Mt Wellington well. Do you live in the Hobart area? When we were there my son wanted to look up Peter Cundall. He was very disappointed with me for not having organised it - to make up for that he escorted me to see the famous 'vege' patch.
The last time we went to Tassie we didn't get down to Hobart - we traveled from coast to coast trying to see as much of the northern part of the state. I have never been to King Island and would like to visit there as well. So much to see, so little time to do it all in.
I'm looking forward to getting back over there - can see myself retiring on the apple isle - bit of a problem in that my husband wants to head north and follow the sun!
Do you know Melbourne very well? I've always felt if you can't live in the true bush you may as well live in the thick of it - we live in an inner suburb. The outer suburban sprawl isn't my scene. The only problem here is with my desire to have a 3+ acre garden to grow some real trees! I'm very restricted in my small suburban plot.
Catch you later.

Aha..the Abrolhos Islands! You haven't caught me out there. Haven't quite been there but when I was camping on my brother in laws prawning trawler in Geraldton I became totally intrigued and fascinated with the story of the Batavia. Read 'Islands of Angry Ghosts' and developed a determination to learn how to scuba dive and come back and dive the area. To cut a long story short I learnt how to dive but never got back to dive the Abrohlos or Truk Lagoon - another ambition. A bit of snorkeling at Shark Bay is as close as I got.
Must off to finish up in the kitchen, wrap a few odds and sods before I find that it is time to get up...I enjoy your replies and hope that you have a Merry Christmas whatever you are up too. Ciao.

Hi Paul. I have been lurking in the site for a long time and going through the Personal pages of evry one. Tonight I arrived to yours. I do not know what is going on with the pictures but I can not see some of them. They appear only as square and an X. But the ones that I could see are great. I became intringued by the meaning of the two letters OZ. Do they stand for Tasmania? I went to Google a little about New Zeland. I can go to bed now that I learned something that I did not know when I awoke up this morning.
Your you tube is beautiful. I did not know those two singers. English is not my mother language, for that reason you could fin some spelling misteaks. Good to "know" you.
