I'm toying with the idea of having little boy in the public school for parts of kindergarten next year. I'm in email conversations with the principle about it. The big issue for me is him socializing with peers. The experiment with preschool pretty much told me that it's personality not lack of opportunity so I' m wondering if I should pursue it or just let him continue to not like little people.

I've been hit and miss on the site lately as I've been fighting some problems with my back. A slow but sure recovery under way. I will have a puzzle ready for Saturday.

Serena, I have had the same problem with messages off and on. I usually get most PM's but I'm hit-and-miss on others, and for a few people who answer my puzzles, I never get their message as an email, only as a PM on my page. I've just learned to grin and bear it.

Hello Dear People...Just a word or two to let you know I care. Greg, sorry to hear that you've been have back trouble, but hope the healing is soon complete. Serena, Interesting that you are considering part-time kindergarten to help the young one's socialization...I look forward to the decision you and hubby make and the results if you move forward...But he may already be on to his truth, little people are not always likable, and he may have many agree with that. LOL.

Serena he may also find a special friend who thinks like he does. Often school friends can be for life. Just a thought.

Hope your back gets better soon Greg. I finally have a diagnosis for my sore back. I know what it is, but that doesn't make it hurt any less.

We are a long way from any large body of water or river, so I was really surprised the other day to see a White-Bellied Sea-Eagle flying over our place. A fortnight ago there was a pelican doing the same. I wonder if they've heard of rising sea levels and climate change and they're getting in early!

Everybody.
Greg - Sorry to hear about your back. I thought maybe your tooth extraction was causing trouble other than at meal times. Hopefully the back hurts less tomorrow than today and keeps progressing. I look forward to your puzzle this weekend.

Ruby Dee - May she rest in peace. I always enjoyed her acting skills and seemed like a real humanitarian.

all. We finally made it to our house in Vancouver. Shortly after getting into Canada, we ran into the mother of all bottle-necks. What was essentially 7 lanes of traffic had to be reduced to one lane.
I suspect my blood pressure was at the bursting point.

Stay cool old timer. Raising your blood pressure will do you no good at all..........especially when there's damn all you can do about the reason.

But, the traffic jam today was nothing compared with what happened in Seattle on Tuesday. A 2-car accident at 2 PM essentially shut down Seattle until after 8 PM. It was amazing,

I smile every time I have to drive into town. It's about 5 miles. There are two stop signs. The drive takes 6 or 7 minutes. Unless, I end up behind a school bus. Even then their courteous drivers pull over and let traffic pass.

Serena if it is the personality - and lots of children are like it today - particularly those who spend a lot of time with adults, make sure he is integrating with children who he will attend school with or are you home schooling? Organise playdates and super-manage the activities so he has to share eg playing a board game or one where they gang up on you. It is tricky!
